After releasing five albums from the late 1970s through the early 1980s, her stage fright, anxiety over her rapid success, and her husband's illness and death caused her to take a 10-year hiatus. Aircheck from WBAU 90.3 FM Adelphi University’s radio station. This is an “Evening Report” news broadcast originally aired live on 8-29-83 with myself and Jeffrey Payne. The last few minutes were not recorded, so it cuts off after a story on “Pac-Man”. WBAU was a great training ground for broadcasting. Many of it’s alum went on to work in the field professionally. Remote broadcast I did from New York City of the baseball expansion meetings in 1990 where several groups were vying for a team in the Tampa Bay/St. Petersburg market. Originally aired on WFNS 910 Plant City/Tampa which eventually became 620 WDAE the flagship station for the Tampa Bay Rays.
