It's a special Gauntlet of Guests edition of Down Goes Frazier, and Jason and Brennan kicked it off with CBS.com's Brian Campbell who went all around the combat sports world with boxing, MMA, and professional wrestling. They looked back on UFC 218, and the ever-changing landscape of WWE.
Brett Auten of KnuckleJunkies.com joined Jason in studio and he talked about this past weekend's Shamrock FC 300 and which fights he enjoyed, as well as the upcoming UFC Fight Night in St. Louis card and some of the local flavor fans can expect when UFC makes its debut in St. Louis.
Brett stayed in studio to speak with a pair of fighters on the UFC Fight Night card, starting with Paige VanZant who talked about fighting in St. Louis for the first time, where she falls in the flyweight division, and her upcoming fight against Jessica Rose-Clark. After this, James Krause joined them in studio to talk about his time on The Ultimate Fighter Redemption, his move from the welterweight division to the lightweight division, and going for his 4th win in a row against Alex White.
Shane Taylor of ROH joined the show to preview his upcoming match at ROH Final Battle for the TV Title, what he thinks about being called the "Breakout Star of 2018," how he got started in the business, and his thoughts on Ohio State being held out of the College Football Playoff.
Barri Griffiths (formerly known as Mason Ryan) joined the show to talk about his adjustment from WWE life to Cirque du Soleil, going from traveling around the country to doing 10-shows-a-week in Vegas, and what drew him to doing that after he left the business of pro wrestling.
Local MMA fighter Dakota Bush joined the show to talk about a special opportunity he is facing as he gets to be a part of The Ultimate Fighter open call, the process preparing for this event and what led him to decide to pursue this, and how working with Jake Collier and how that has helped prep him for the open call.
Jason and Brennan wrap up the show with a look at Clash of Champions '93 in the Frazier Flashback, and Brennan discovers an interesting collectible belonging to the late Carrie Fisher in this week's Parting Shot.
