We are here!  The 2026 season is officially underway.  The boys and girls of MSHSL lacrosse have begun their practices, tryouts and maybe already jumping into some scrimmages this weekend.  We are so fired up to be back for another year.

Steve and Ted give some thoughts on the season and what they are looking forward to.  

Pmac interviews good friend of the pod, Pat Shelso, marketing director for Adrenaline lacrosse.  In the interview Pat gives us a run down of some of the cool gear adrenaline has cooking for the upcoming season.

Coaches Jon Beach, from Blaine Boys, and Brad Geiss, from Andover Girls give us the rundown on section 7.  There was some significant movement on the boys side with Centennial and Spring Lake Park/Coon Rapids moving out of the section. Less so on the girls side.  However, both boys and girls section 7 seems like a transitional year for a lot of teams.  New coaches.  Graduation.  New Players.  This should be a fun section that is open for the taking

Section 6 is loaded.  I know everyone has disdain for the "south suburban bias" on our show but can you really argue with the depth of this section.  Not only are there multiple section title contenders, there are multiple state title contenders in section 6.

This upcoming season, is once again, a meat grinder for the section 6 teams.  But, the winner of the section should have a really good chance at a title.

Section 5 looks to be a wild section with multiple teams in the mix to take the crown.  We heard that Maple Grove boys have a special coach homecoming for the 2026 season, Ted seems to think that will be enough to propel the crimson to a section title on the boys side.  Pmac and The Source think it's BSMs section until proven otherwise.

On the girls side, it looks like the Crimson are favorites to run it back, but Coach Kidd from Wayzata loves when her team flies under the radar... just like last year when we were ALL wrong about the Trojans.

Section 4 was not only a Pony sweep in 2025, but both Stillwater Boys and Girls made it all the way to the state finals!  Despite graduations, it looks like they might be the favorites again in 2026.  We are joined by Stillwater boys assistant coach, Tyler Varhol, to breakdown the boys section.  Unfortunately, some schedule snafu's caused a conflict with our girls guest, but, the Source bring us a breakdown of his notes on the girls side.
