Down to the Beat

This week on Down to the Beat, we kick it off with a conversation about Mario Judah which obviously winds up with some "Whole Lotta Red" talk. We then talk about come backs in the rap game as well as frauds. We then finish off with some wholesome content for you folks with a discussion about Rowdy Rebel being released from prison. 

This week's episode of Down to the Beat is kicked off with our segment "What's Up" where we discuss Kid Cud's upcoming album, as well as his legacy in the game. We then move into "Let's Talk" where we talk about the biggest what-ifs in hip-hop, VladTV's interview with Casanova  allegedly being used to indict the New York rapper and finally capped off with a discussion about Chance the Rapper and his manager's relationship. 

In this episode of Down to the Beat, we kick it off with our segment "Behind the Beat" where we give you three producers and artists to go follow right off the bat! We then move into the segment "Let's Talk" where we chop it up about Spotify year end wrap-ups, Netflix originals and DJ Akademiks. 

This week's episode of Down to the Beat is kicked off with our segment "Homegrown Hits" where Fixxx talks about his boy Maléven's newest EP, "The New Gabz City 1". We then move into or segment "Let's Talk" where we chop it up about passing on the metaphorical torch, the wear and tear the music business has on artists and finally about our thoughts on this year's Grammy nominations.

This week on Down to the Beat we start off with a quick conversation about Twitter stories and the Davinci Code to get us warmed up. We then move into our segment "Let's Talk" where we talk about albums that aren't classic but should be and what that really means. The segment is then capped off with a discussion about artistic burnout and who's we admire most. Finally, the episode is capped off with an " Over or Underrated" on ranking/rating artists. 

This week's episode of Down to the Beat is kicked off with our segment "Gone But Not Forgotten" where we honour the life of King Von and reflect on his short yet impactful career. We then move into "Let's Talk" where we discuss artists who use ghost writers and 10/10 albums. We then cap off the episode with a hypothetical question to leave you thinking!

We then move on to talk about Oregon's new laws and then transition into 2020 presidential election. We then cap off "Let's Talk" with a conversation about Travis Scott's Halloween costume and going off the social media grid. The episode is then capped off with "Behind the Beat" where we leave you with some of our favourite producers in the game right now. 

This week’s episode of Down to the Beat is kicked off with a “Let’s talk” about rap music and skateboarding, followed by our favourite fast food chains. The segment is capped off with a conversation about artist’s evolution through the years which ultimately bleeds into Kanye talk. The episode is capped off with “Into the Unknown” where we leave you with three new artists to check out!

This week's episode of Down to the Beat is kicked off with a reflection on injustices going on in Nigeria and Nova Scotia. The episode then moves on to talk about the recent music festival in Ottawa, Cranium Festival. After that a conversation about Kanye's presidential campaign has Fixxx left with needing a break from him. "Let's Talk" is finished off with a debate on Microsoft vs. Apple and the episode is capped off with a "Hot Take" on the death of radio.
