Downhearted 

 means feeling sad, discouraged, or disappointed — especially after something doesn’t go the way you hoped. It’s not full-on heartbreak or deep depression… it’s that quiet heaviness you carry when you’re let down. 

Examples:

1- She seemed downhearted after moving to Toronto and realizing how hard it was to make friends in a new country — especially during winter.

2- She was downhearted when she saw the news about her hometown. Even from another country, the weight of it stayed with her all day.
