A group sex story with a sweet ending.

This book is just over an hour long and the first 30+ minutes is story and set up for the sexytimes that occur in the second half of the book. The entire story is told from Ansird's point of view so we get to experience her frustration at waiting so long for a mate, her anticipation of the Mating Rite once her dad, the Clan Chief, finds her suitable mates, and then her pleasure at the experience.

The set up was interesting as the author built in this back story for the clan: why they had to move around the area through the past several years, how they had lost several scouts and hunters in recent years, and why it was important to find new people to join their clan. I also liked that Ansird had taken part in the hunts and had her own spear.

Eventually we get to the sexytimes, which is why we're all reading this, right? The clan has found 4 new men to join the clan. The Clan Chief offers them his only daughter for the Mating Rite and also citizenship in the clan if his daughter is pregnant and happy when he returns for her in 1 month. Wolfgarb, Borak, Larsity, and Gorgruk are quite happy with the arrangement.

One of the men whisks a willing Ansird away for her first experience as he hopes to father her child. Whoever the babe most resembles will become the next Clan Chief. However, the other three soon chase him off and then we just have 3 men and Ansird enjoying each other all at the same time.

I was hoping for a bit more description at this point. While Ansird's pleasure at the experience is plain, I think the author could have done a bit more. After all, she was great at coming up with the lengthy backstory at the beginning of the book. Also the author came up with some silly terms like 'man spear' and 'fook' that I thought was unnecessary considering the subject matter of the book.

The ending was sweet with a very happy mother Ansird. Over all, I would have liked either a longer story in general (since the author is good at writing this backstory for the clan and giving Ansird some personality) or a shorter story that just focused on the sexytimes. Still, it was a fun read.

The Narration: Yvonne Syn was great for this book. She had the perfect voice for Ansird and got her various emotions (frustration, anticipation, enjoyment) across to the listener. She never stumbled over the intimate scenes or some of the language used. She had distinct voices for each of the men.

I now own all 3 volumes of this and this is probably my fave (altho all are excellent). I think this one just had a greater variety of stories in it and the narration was my fave so far. Second story was really awesome as was actually spookily like my own first time which was rather bizarre to listen to - bizaree but a huge turn on! Great series, thank you, hope there will be a volume 4 someday! ;)

Absolutely! I think that there is a world of difference between reading words on page, and laying back to let the author's words wash over me, as told by a sensual and soft voice. YES!

I loved the descriptions that the author used. Everyone knows I'm a Buxton fan, because he paints such a delightful picture of every scene. He didn't disappoint with this volume either.

Which scene was your favorite?

My favorite part was definitely the story line between Alyra (sp?) and Jim. Their chemistry was amazingly captured by the author, and I loved the spicy exotic touches that were sprinkled throughout this part of the book. The two lovers' relationship (and their chemistry!!) reminded me a lot of an ex that I used to have.

Didn't Do It For Me

I didn't find the story one that drew me in, didn't care about the characters. The narrator was ok.

I was given this book in return for my unbiased honest opinion. This book was great. Yes great Narration, Yes great writing oh and yes great hot sex scenes. This book truly wasn't just sex it did have a great story line. I really enjoyed it and plan on listening to others. Elle I am a new fan!!

Enjoyable Story and Performance

I really liked this story. There was no struggle to finish. The narrator was very consistent when it came to keeping the same tone for different POVs. I could tell when the POV changed. There was only one problem that I recall, and since I don't have the print version I'm not sure if it was a print error or audio error. One line was repeated. It stuck out to me as I was washing dishes; I thought my audio had somehow skipped. My only real complaint about the story is that "unbridled lifestyle" seemed to be overused. It's probably not something I would notice in a print book, but it's obvious when hearing someone repeatedly saying it. Overall I liked the story and would recommend the print or audio.

I liked this book, the characters were sexy, developed enough and the story had a good pace. I was gifted this book by the author for an honest review but I would certainly recommend it to anyone who enjoys this kind of book. Fun, sexy,steamy and a good getaway story, perfect for a long drive.

I guess it would be Jessica's first night with Deacon and her deflowering. Deacon was so thoughtful and patient and Jessica finally had it all behind her so she could hold her head high at her reunion.

Do not remember if I have listened to Terri before. The narration was great, really bought the story to life.

Yes, and I did. I love the character of all three, decent guys for Jessica.

One of the Better Sets of Lesbian Short Stories.

Where does Lovely Licks, Volume 1 rank among all the audiobooks youve listened to so far?

First It was written by woman for woman, second it had a nice range of fantasy erotic stories. There were 5 to choose from. There was the best friend who asks the other female best friend to come join them in bed together, there is the group sex story, there is the first time amoung best friends, and two others I will leave as a suprise.

Who was your favorite character and why?

I enjoyed the story about the two best friends who just happened to get to cozy, and then just sort of get it on. Its funny how you just suddenly decide to kiss your best friend and all works out because if I kissed my best friend for any reason not only would she knock me upside the head and not talk to me for a few weeks, I would have to apologies for months.

Have you listened to any of Yvonne Syns other performances before? How does this one compare?

No I have not, I mostly listened to Hollie Jackson or Abbie Cradon, whom I really enjoy a lot, I really like both woman a lot. And there performances on Erik Scuback's and Radclyffe's, and Gerri Hill's books have been awesome.

Was this a book you wanted to listen to all in one sitting?

Yes, it was very short, about an hour long, I something enjoy listening to lesbian erotic in short pieces so I buy the ones that cost $2.74 or $4.74, (something like that), that don't last more than an hour. I enjoy them very much.

This was one of the very best of the cheapish book I have gotten, the 5 story gave you a complete range of fantasies to pick from, some I liked, some like the one with the husband, not so much, but as I said 5 stories with a large range of first time lesbain try outs. It was a fun erotic book.

When firefighter Mason "Mace" James stops to help a naked old man on the side of the road one late night he doesn't expect his good Samaritan duty to change his life forever. Coming off a double shift, he's exhausted and the strange people and sights when he returns the old man home are just plain weird. When he ends up agreeing to stay the night, it's mainly because he meets Luc Toussaint and is intoxicated at first sight.

When things get a little more weird than Mace can explain away, even in his exhausted state, he quickly leaves and goes home. But events have now been set in motion, and Mace can't run from his man or his destiny.

An interesting paranormal romance, Mace finds the love of his life, learns he is a Romanus, that gargoyles are real and he can see their true forms, and that not everyone is happy for the Romanus to have been found.

Greg Tremblay showcases the confusion, wonder, and heat of the story all while drawing the listener in and wrapping them up creating this cocoon until the last seconds of the audio.

As with any Mary Calmes novella I find myself wanting more as soon as I get to the last page. Romanus felt a little unexplored, like there was so much more story to tell, but there's good news for readers as Mace and Luc's story continues in Chevalier.

Ultimately I was thoroughly entertained by the audio, with Greg Tremblay giving another fantastic performance. Recommended.

I received a free copy of this audiobook to listen to and review for Wicked Reads.

I am absolutely addicted to this audiobook. There is something about the combination of the story that Calmes has penned and Tremblays narration that has resulted in me listening to it every day for a week, sometimes twice a day. The fact that its just under two hours long makes it possible to listen to it daily, yet Ive refrained from writing my review just so I had a semi-plausible excuse to listen to it again and again and again. Ive always been fascinated by gargoyles, yet I think this is the first M/M gargoyle romance Ive read (or listened to, in this case) and that has probably contributed to my addiction as well. Youre likely laughing at me or scoffing at my claim of repeated listening, but its so true that I received the Silver Repeat Listener badge from Audible, which is earned for listening to the same audiobook at least 10 times. Obviously, I have a problem and were it not for the fact that I want to get Romanus and its sequel, Chevalier, blogged this week in the leadup to Halloween, Id probably still be putting off writing this review.

Of course, the problem with addiction is that oftentimes its difficult to explain why you enjoy the thing youre addicted to so much.

Very good bundle deal. Don't expect romance. Instead expect to read very "satisfied" characters.

I enjoyed this bundle of 10 sexually explicit erotic stories. They include FF, FFM, multiple partners, MILF, and BDSM situations. There is more than vanilla loving in this series and I caution reader NOT to come in expecting love in the equation. But a lot of well written steamy scenarios of passion and lust.

I enjoyed it and had some very good stories in this bundle deal. Each scenario sets up the scene for the reader. Example of stories are wife catching husband cheating her on his boss. Boss makes it clear she expects sex in order for husband to get promoted. Wife walks out and get sher own bayback on her cheating husband. Then there is a story of girl finding her boyfriend cheated on her and so she gets "comfort" from her hot female roommate. Love ending on this one!!! Another story includes a female getting caught in party with only six men. She was loving all the "attention". Another story involves roommate and her boyfriend helping the roommate learn how to get comfortable having sex with a female while male watches, per roommate's boyfriend's request.

The stories were written in good quality. Some stories steamier than others, but all well done. Explicite sexual scenes. More than vanilla loving. Fun, erotic reads. Read it for free and would recommend if you are okay with reading different explicit erotic scenes that are tales of revenge, exploration, curiosity, lust and passion.
