Thought Provoking and very real

Wow. This book wasn't as light and humorous like the rest. And, Frankly, hit close to home. I have some very close family members who were put in foster care after the death of a parent who was the bread winner, and then the grandparent who stepped in to help. In the midst of a huge extended family of aunts and uncles, no one stepped in. One of the oldest girls who was on her own eventually was able to get a couple of her younger siblings after a few years. But, the psychological damage of being ripped from family is so real. The stories of fear and helplessness they rarely ever speak of, about being safe in a large family one day and thrown into chaos while trying to deal with the sudden deaths of a parent and then a grandparent are heartbreaking. One simply stopped eating and talking, and had to be re-assigned to a home with at least one sibling. The bouncing around to different homes where they never knew what to expect. The walls that now never seem to be able to be breached even with their own children. They aren't always visible until something happens and they simply shut down emotionally. The more devastating the event, the less emotionally attached they become. And, the breaches in family that never quite close is all too familiar. Their clear disdain for their aunts and uncles, some of whom were actually nasty to them, blaming the children for causing the heart attack and illness of their parent and grandparent is evident. But, then their humanity also shows when being sought out as adults often for their help from these same family members in their older age when their own children failed to take care of them. And, the strength and resilience they had to make something from nothing. Most of them did quite well for themselves and ended up taking care of the very people who'd turned their backs on them with more care and grace than I think I could have. I grew up knowing all of these people and always wondered but never asked, how could you not do something when you had so much and they were losing everything? I have seen their own kids ask of these aunts and uncles ask, because their cousins were suddenly taken from them, but I've never heard an answer.

Very short story but it was hot .. very detailed and well hot!!

Still Laughing!

I just listened to this book on Audible.com and I loved it! The story is fast paced, sexy and hilarious, also the cast of characters are very smart and witty. One of the best narrated books ever! The different characters were easily distinguishable and the narration was done with great acting skills.

Just bought the next book ( I hope there will be more) I'm gonna be up all night listening. I hope for more from both author and narrator!

Lawyers need love too

This was a fun easy read. No real conflict or drama. Great book to put a smile on your face! Recommended for mature audiences.

Sexy, charming, wonderful!

Gabrielle is a public defender, and Braden is a prosecutor. They often work in the same court room and quickly realize that they are both very attracted to one another. One issue is that Braden is a notorious player who is always ready to hook up, but doesn't date. Gabrielle wants Braden, but isn't interested in a one night stand with anyone. A little booze and some witty banter has them negotiating their way into the start of a relationship. Once that is taken care of, some outside issues arise.

I enjoyed this book quite a lot. The main characters are very witty as are their friends. Experiencing the sexual tension building up between Gabrielle and Braden was pretty spectacular, but not quite as spectacular as when they finally vented it! These two have some serious chemistry and while the hot stuff is really hot, the banter and intellectual connection these two find and experience was absolutely wonderful to witness. After Gabrielle and Braden connect, we see that there are other people who want relationships with either Gabrielle or Braden and are ready to cause problems for the new couple. Gabrielle is receiving mysterious threatening letters, and those who want Braden are being very clear about their desires. There are definitely moments where Gabrielle makes some pretty crazy decisions about how to handle certain situations, but ultimately even the ridiculous bits add to the charm and fun of the story. I really enjoyed the main characters as well as their friends.

I did actually read this book before I listed to the audio version.

Poor narration obscures some good stories

I would avoid anything narrated by Layla Dawn but I'd try those authors again.

Yes. Some of the stories were inventive and exciting.

NO! Listening to Layla Dawn narrate erotica is like listening to the Google maps navigation voice narrate erotica, complete with mispronounced words and mechanical cadence. Really bad.

Such a wonderful story, so many turns!

I adore books like this! You have kink, you have hot scenes and they are expected due to the kink, you have characters STAYING IN CHARACTER...been a big glitch of mine lately where characters just up and poof they aren't themselves anymore. You have to believe in love/lust at first site though to find this book plausible but man I wish Audible had more!

Dimitri is in the Russian Mob, but he is on vacation in America to attend the Submissive's Wish Auction. He doesn't go to bid, but his friends do and low and behold there is the most amazing woman he has ever seen! She is tough, but kind, hard core, with a gentle side...she is a switch; Dominant over women, submissive to men...well the right kind of man *wink-wink*

Would you consider the audio edition of Dimitri's Forbidden Submissive to be better than the print version?

Absolutely, I think that the audio captures the Authors expression of the characters personalities.

What did you like best about this story?

I like the fact that two strong personalities come together and challenge each other but at the same time can be utterly submissive to each other. Throughout the whole story there was a push and pull but at the same time a give give. The possessiveness between them both was beyond rational sometimes but it draws you into wishing you had a love like that.

Have you listened to any of Edo De Angeliss other performances before? How does this one compare?

A ghastly mess that hurt to listen to.

This is NOT a pregnancy erotica. It's not a human-cow erotica. It's not an impregnation erotica. It's not even erotica, unless your kink is horrible writing. There is also no milking, by the way.

The descriptions are lazy and inane - this thing describes every step of the character's actions until you want to dig your own eardrums out to make it stop, but at the same time, each description is lacking in all but the most basic detail. In some ways, this is a mercy, though, because the sexy scenes are bad enough when glossed over; fully described, they could probably kill a person just listening to them.

The narrative makes no sense. Things happen with zero logic or explanation. The main character receives a cryptic warning, then loses control of her body and starts masturbating in public, then goes driving around aimlessly, then finds a barn that makes her breasts grow when she gets close to it. Then she has sex with a man with weird eyes. Then she gets plonked onto a metal rod on the back of a vibrating plastic cow. Then more sex. Then she wakes up in her car and the barn is gone. Later, she has sex a few times with her new boyfriend, finds out she is pregnant, drives back to town to see if it was all real, and finds out it was. The End. .....wait, WHAT????

Give this one a miss unless you hate yourself.

Girl's Night In

Four roommates are having a girl's night with chick movies and wine or at least that is what one of the is thinking until she gets out of the shower. On her way to her room, she sees her roommate having an orgy. Before she knows it, she has joined them and this will be a night that they will never forget.

I really didn't like this book. This was not one of her better books. I don't recommend this book.
