    Title: The Islamic Antichrist
Subtitle: The Shocking Truth about the Real Nature of the Beast
    Author: Joel Richardson
    Narrator: Richard Powers
    Format: Unabridged
Length: 10 hrs and 29 mins
    Language: English
    Release date: 05-05-11
    Publisher: Blackstone Audio, Inc.
Ratings: 4.5 of 5 out of 283 votes
Genres: Religion & Spirituality, Religious Thought
    Publisher's Summary:
The Bible predicts that in the last days a charismatic leader will establish a global following in the name of peace. The Quran also predicts that a man will rise up to lead the nations, pledging to usher in an era of peace. The man in the Quran is called the Mahdi, or Islams savior. However, the man in the Bible is the Antichrist. Joel Richardsons stunning research and analysis suggest that the Mahdi and the Antichrist are actually one and the same.
In The Islamic Antichrist, Richardson exposes Western readers to the traditions of Islam and predicts that the end-times may not be far away. His book will stun readers unaware of the similarities between the Antichrist and the Islamic Jesus. His research on the relationship between Christian end-time prophecy and Islamic expectations of world domination will shock readers and shape the debate over radical Islam for years to come. This is the book to read on the worlds fastest-growing religion and the future of the world.
    Critic Reviews:
A fascinating and provocative work. Bravo! (Robert Spencer, director of Jihad Watch)
    Members Reviews:
    NOT a relaxing read
A thought provoking book that lines things up fairly easily. It is NOT a book to read for relaxation, but rather for study. I found myself double checking scripture and taking notes. A good study book.
How revealing as to what is happenning with ISIS !
What made the experience of listening to The Islamic Antichrist the most enjoyable?
The most enjoyable part of this book is the careful history that is so well explained.
What other book might you compare The Islamic Antichrist to and why?
Road to Martyrs' Square is a book that is somewhat comparable, but frankly I have not found a book like this that focuses on the epidemiology of Islam and Christianity and the prophetic message that predicts this reality.
What does Richard Powers bring to the story that you wouldnt experience if you just read the book?
Richard Powers was a fine performer. He had very good pronunciation of the Arabic words as far as I could tell.
If you could give The Islamic Antichrist a new subtitle, what would it be?
...And how it explains the ISIS and the New Caliphate that is Spreading Across the Middle East
    Any additional comments?
This book introduces a terrifying truth that is so politically incorrect, but so true.
    This Is Not Fairy Tale
The Bible * The Mahdi * The Koran * Islamic World Domination * Jesus Christ.* The End Times.
To say this book is a frightening read/ listen, is a mild statement.
I wonder how many Christians really know just what Muslims believe and teach.
The author has researched this with all due diligence.
    What an eye opener.
    Probably true.
Of all the end time explanations this one seems the most plausible. Some doctrinal points I could argue but granted the nature of the subject I felt it was dealt with very accurately. I further enjoyed the fact that the author failed to speculate and become ridiculously fantastical like many do. He simply explained the Islamic beliefs and their corresponding correlation to the Bible's warnings. I want to make one last point to all who read this review and this book--Jesus comes in the like manner to which he left his apostles. He comes from the heavens, from the east, and His coming will be glorious; sufficient to make the sun hide its face in shame for lack of brilliance.

    Critic Reviews:
"Were I to choose the most significant book in religion published in the second half of the twentieth century, my choice would easily fall upon Paul Tillich's
The Courage to Be." (Peter J. Gomes, Plummer Professor of Christian Morals and Pusey Minister in The Memorial Church, Harvard University)
    Members Reviews:
An essential read for the sophisticated seeker.
What made the experience of listening to The Courage to Be the most enjoyable?
I enjoyed every minute of it. I listened to the book several times as it is not an easy book to comprehend in just one reading.
What did you like best about this story?
Tillich is deep and is worth spending a great deal of time investigating. This is a timeless piece of true psychological and philosophical thought.
What does Mort Crim bring to the story that you wouldnt experience if you just read the book?
His voice was pleasant and easy to listen to as I re-listened to the book several times.
The best ontological work Iv'e ever read.
What made the experience of listening to The Courage to Be the most enjoyable?
I was very sick of shallow treatments of this subject in my "evangelical bubble". This work was not only informative, but challenging! I hope to find more works like this in the future.
What aspect of Mort Crims performance would you have changed?
It was quite dry, but some how his stately sound made sense for the material.
Did you have an extreme reaction to this book? Did it make you laugh or cry?
This book made me examine my motives and identity.
The Courage to be Lost in a Book
This book was very challenging. Some sentences I never did decipher even after numerous times rewinding and relistening. If you want to tackle a thought provoking book this is a good one. Plan on taking at the very least twice as long as the length of the reading. I received great insights in the description of the human journey of courage to be wholly human. Accepting anxiety as part of our humanity is a breathe of fresh air in the midst of all of our striving to be good enough.
The courage to be is rooted in the God Who appears when the God [in our small human box] has disappeared in the anxiety of doubt.
    I recommend this book.
    not easy to understand
not an easy read or easily comprehendable. unfortunately, this book was a waist of my time.
    what is it ?
the narration is lackluster and I have to listen to it again courage I really want to understand the teaching.

    Excellent!
I was very pleased with this Bible, inasmuch as it was Martin Luther's translation. It arrived in excellent condition, the type was clear and easy to read, and had the key sections illuminated in bold-face type. Several of my friends have asked me to read certain key passages to them in German, which I can do, and I am more than happy to do this for them. I have noticed that the German matches the English rather well, and this enables me to go to those sections I want to read with no trouble. I highly recommend this Bible for anyone who desires to read the Good Book in German. Es ist wirklich ein ausgezeichnetes Buch!
It's great if you can read it
It's great if you can read it. I read German, but the font is so difficult to read. It's oviously supposed to look like Luther's calligraphy, which it does, but that makes reading it very slow.
    Five Stars
I am absolutely delighted to have found a update version of my German Bible. I love reading it.
    An excellent edition
This is an excellent, readable translation, nicely printed on good-quality paper and well bound. I highly recommend it to anyone who wishes an edition of the Bible in a modernized version of Luther's translation (without Apocrypha).

I have gained new insights by listening
If you could sum up The Urantia Book (Part 4): The Life and Teachings of Jesus in three words, what would they be?
This book has been a long-time companion and has truly changed my life. Listening to this on my iPod while driving long trips has really been a much better experience than I had even hoped for. It's amazing to me that, in hearing the words, I have been able to get a deeper perspective of some of the amazing talks that Jesus gave. It's allowed me to see how the ideas flow into one another with purpose. This, I wasn't able to easily see in reading.
I would recommend that anyone who's read the Urantia Book download a copy of the spoken version and if you happened upon this and have not read the book, don't wait another minute to get the life-changing benefits from this fantastic book.
    LOW AUDIO VOLUME
    Any additional comments?
Don't purchase this audio book! The audio volume (even the enhanced version) is so low, it's not even worth listening to. After the beginning introduction, the volume decreases until you're straining to hear the words and you have to constantly rewind it to catch the dialog. Very distracting while driving! Instead, download the free mp3 version from the Urantia website, where you can adjust the audio volume within any mp3 player.
    Amazing biography of Jesus
Thanks for putting The Urantia Book on Audible. The readers do a terrific job so the book is good listening. Since the Urantia Book uses modern English and narrative storytelling, it is much easier to get through than most religious literature. I downloaded the compressed file level 2 so the book did not take up too much room on my IPod.
I loved listening to Part 4 of The Urantia Book. The first hour was tough to understand because it related to Part 2 of the book. But once I got to the chapter on the birth and infancy of Jesus, it was easy listening the rest of the way. Wow, this book takes a really different look at the life of Jesus. Best I have read so far.

    Life saver
Questions answered! Satisfied, beyond all expectations! A must read for all our times. Well pleased.
    A life changing book
This Book is fascinating. Although complicated, it opened my eyes to new and intriguing concepts of God and the vast number of beings that orchestrate the creation and welfare of billions of inhabited planets, including ours. The kind of book I will read many times! It starts out a little intimidating, but it is worth the effort to keep going.
    Who am I?
In an earlier time, two ships passing in the night would exchange two primary pieces of information. They would both ask the other ship...where are you coming from...and...where are you going to? With this new information each ship would then update it's own course to get to it's intended destination.
The Urantia Book is just such a revelation for the seeker to do the same.
    My soul love it...
Where does The Urantia Book (Part 1 and Part 2) rank among all the audiobooks youve listened to so far?
One of the top audiobook I have listened to. This book may be not for everyone, since we are different in our level of consciousness. I love it and feel familiar with the contents. Maybe I have been a student of the universe for many life times.
Who was your favorite character and why?
The Creator Trinity Father and His creation of different levels of beings...
Which character as performed by the narrator was your favorite?
Not specifically. Both of the two narrators did a wonderful work.
Was this a book you wanted to listen to all in one sitting?
Impossible, but I listened it in less than a week.
    Any additional comments?
You may not understand what is saying in the book, but keep your heart open. Only truth will stay and last. No matter what your religion is, this book will worth your time and effort to study. It will enhance your faith. I strongly recommend it.

I have read and studied many books that have been meaningful.

    Strictly for The Unaware
If you've read or studied cluster B personality disorders or are experienced in dealing with the disordered; the cases are very obvious to you. If you're a newbie, it's eye opening. I'm not a clinical psychologist, but I could offer more insight into evil, sabotage, gaslighting and various other behaviors of the evil/ disordered, just from a lifetime of personal experiences with people. Frankly, I found it very boring. C.S. Lewis' The Screwtape Letters offers more insight into how evil operates.
    Life Changing
If you could sum up People of the Lie, Volume 2 in three words, what would they be?
    shocking, enlightening, empowering
What was the most compelling aspect of this narrative?
Peck's ability to define Malignant Narcissistic Personality Disorder so effectively. I recognized my mother and, after four decades, was able to start down the road of recovery.
    Any additional comments?
Recommended for those who, like myself, always felt 'crazy' and constantly in turmoil and honestly couldn't figure out why. My mother has MNDP and her abuse will always resonate. But without Peck's book, I would've gone to my grave thinking it was all my fault.
    Knowledge is power
Such an eye opening journey to know and gave TRUTH and to FINALLY confront the Lie!!!! Part of our Spiritual warfare is to NOT be ignorant to the enemy's devices!!! Empower yourselves with this awesome read!!!!
Too short, felt incomplete for a true book.

    Publisher's Summary:
Is there life beyond the grave? Is it reasonable to believe in the afterlife? If so, how should we act on those beliefs?
Best-selling author Dinesh D'Souza undertakes an unprecedented voyage of intellectual discovery to reveal the truth about life, death and beyond. Unlike many books about the afterlife, Life After Death makes no appeal to religious faith, divine revelation, or sacred texts. Drawing on some of the most powerful theories and trends in physics, evolutionary biology, science, philosophy, and psychology, D'Souza shows why the atheist critique of immortality is irrational - and draws the striking conclusion that it is reasonable to believe in life after death.
He concludes by showing how life after death can give depth and significance to this life, a path to happiness, and reason for hope.
    Critic Reviews:
"Writing not only for the religious believer but also for the honest seeker, Dinesh D'Souza displays a sophisticated understanding of religion, philosophy, history, and science in making a convincing case for life after death." (Deepak Chopra)
    Members Reviews:
    My Favorite of the Year
Don't wait until you are on your deathbed to read this terrific book. It will be too late. You won't feel up to reading anything. In this work, the author argues persuasively that science and philosophy actually support the premise of life after death - in contrast to common belief. This book is an entertaining, thought-provoking, eye-opening, and thorough exploration of a topic long thought the sole domain of religion. You'll learn much about things you've only superficially encountered before and will find yourself richly rewarded. The narration is excellent. There's nothing dull or stuffy about this book, and you'll find yourself racing to finish. Highly recommended for all listeners.
    eye opener
This is a great book I strongly recomend it to anyone who has an intrest in the afterlife, and if you enjoy this book you will also enjoy 'what dreams may come' by Richard Matheson as it hits the same topic and in my opinion they go hand in hand.
    Life After Death is REAL
I found this book to be very interesting and informative. Dinesh D'Souza presents a very technical and concise story of the evidence to support our Christian beliefs.
    Beautiful Book
I am going to read this about 10 more times. Clear logic, well reasoned points, powerful delivery.
I converted from stradling the fence to a believer
Would you consider the audio edition of Life after Death to be better than the print version?
For me it is, I can work it in while driving or working out. The retention is not as good as reading.
What did you like best about this story?
the various examples of believers and non believers
If you were to make a film of this book, what would be the tag line be?
    crossing through doubt
    Any additional comments?
Dinesh must be very bright, certainly can communicate clearly and does not display predjudice

    Discover your Real Inner Self
Would you recommend this audiobook to a friend? If so, why?
A remarkable study on how we disguise our real self. It provides techniques on how to unmask and bring our true selves to the surface. I read this on Kindle and just had to listen again on audible.
    Any additional comments?
I was not pleased with the person reading the book. The individual seemed to portray a condescending tone. Maybe just my own personal perception and not what others will feel. The book and content are fabulous and very much worth the listen.
    Learning about creating group dynamics
As usual Parker Palmer has captured the essence of the concept of working in collaboration with people from all professions. As a teacher I value his ideas a basis for working and interacting with graduate education students who in turn use these same ideas with their high school students. His humble and powerful words play like a video in that one can picture how people are interacting and relating to one another which helps one understand the strategies that can be used to capture the essence of his "Circle of Truth". A must read for anyone interested in learning more about group dynamics.

    Title: The Case for God

Length: 16 hrs and 45 mins
    Language: English
    Release date: 09-22-09
    Publisher: Random House Audio
Ratings: 4.5 of 5 out of 243 votes
Genres: Religion & Spirituality, Religious Thought
    Publisher's Summary:
Focusing especially on Christianity but including Judaism, Islam, Buddhism, Hinduism, and Chinese spiritualities, Armstrong examines the diminished impulse toward religion in our own time, when a significant number of people either want nothing to do with God or question the efficacy of faith.
Why has God become unbelievable? Why is it that atheists and theists alike now think and speak about God in a way that veers so profoundly from the thinking of our ancestors? Answering these questions with the same depth of knowledge and profound insight that have marked all her acclaimed books, Armstrong makes clear how the changing face of the world has necessarily changed the importance of religion at both the societal and the individual level.
She makes a powerful, convincing argument for drawing on the insights of the past in order to build a faith that speaks to the needs of our dangerously polarized age. Yet she cautions us that religion was never supposed to provide answers that lie within the competence of human reason; that, she says, is the role of logos. The task of religion is to help us live creatively, peacefully, and even joyously with realities for which there are no easy explanations. She emphasizes, too, that religion will not work automatically. It is, she says, a practical discipline: its insights are derived not from abstract speculation but from "dedicated intellectual endeavor" and a"compassionate lifestyle" that enables us to break out of the prison of selfhood.

Great recasting of how God should be interpreted
I'm an agnostic and I think this is a very important book. It provides a view into how the three major monotheisms were seen by their own practitioners over the ages and contrast those views with the modern view of God. It's a criticism of modern religious practice but it opened my eyes to the value that religion could and should provide were it approached in a less simplistic manner. This book is not meant to convert anyone, its very much an social/historical look at God. I find it a much more valuable view than the combative positions of the New Atheists.
    Complete, engaging and educational
I'm just finishing my second listen and enjoying it as much as the first. It is a dense book and presents thousands of years of human religious history in detail. Despite the tremendous amount of information Karen Armstrong packs into this book, the overall themes are easy to follow.
I particularly appreciated that she chose to write a book focusing on unknowing and the elements of religious and spiritual practice that take one beyond language itself. If you want a general overview of religious history, you might choose her History of God or The Great Transformation. However, if you want an in-depth look at 2000 years of faith and the interplay of human practitioners and ineffable religious experience in Christianity, Judaism, Islam and Buddhism, this is the book.
    Oh My God a Case
This is so convincing and so well done. I rarely take in a book this deeply and earnestly. I could not find a single place to really argue or gripe. This is a timeless work that deserves your time at least once through. The conclusions are profound and have shaken for the better my faith based view of the world.

    Publisher's Summary:
The Varieties of Religious Experience is considered to be the classic work in the field. To quote Wikipedia, "James was most interested in understanding personal religious experience. The importance of James to the psychology of religion - and to psychology more generally - is difficult to overstate. He discussed many essential issues that remain of vital concern today. What makes James writing so special is that he could take a very complex subject and, without watering it down, make it understandable to 'the rest of us.'"
This is a must listen for anyone interested in religon and man's search for the spritual. It is written for laymen, thus easy to understand, but remains penetrating and brilliant.
    Editorial Reviews:
William James' The Varieties of Religious Experience is one of the seminal works on natural theology. Published at the turn of the 20th century, this audiobook contains James' edited Gifford Lectures. Just over 18 hours, this audiobook is not for the faint-hearted. However, for those enthusiasts ready to embark on this scholarly journey, Jim Killavey brings to life James' words with a serious and intellectual tone. His diction and pacing are impeccable. Moreover, Killavey is a natural with James' vernacular. Thus, interested listeners will find this audiobook incredibly rewarding and important.
    Critic Reviews:
"Believers and unbelievers (and semi-believers ) will continue to find in it both a resource and a challenge. Quaint though some of it may seem at first in language and approach, The Varities of Religious Experience, can itself become for the contemporary reader not only an intellectual exercise but a religious experience." (Jaroslav Jan Pelikan, Sterling Professor of History Emeritus, Yale University)

    Profound stuff
This is an amazing book. Profound yet understandable. James uses lots of 1st person quotes to demonstrate religious types and that really helps. Read like lectures but...that's what they are so style fits. I got some incredible insights about religion..and the human mind from this book.
    Terrible Narration
The narrator has the most monotone and boring delivery. Please find another person to narrate and rerelease this audible book. I would like my money back.
    Great ideas...
...but a punishing twenty-plus hours ahead of you. I imagine William James a powerful orator (this is from his lecture series in Scotland), but the narrator's Brooklyn-sounding delivery makes for a monotonous listen.
