Nice Finale to this series
This was a fantastic ending to the series. This one is just as good as the others and was romantic, funny and charming. I totally loved this series!
I liked the whole series...
Daisy is the last remaining single wallflower. She is a romantic dreamer. Her father is tired of spending money on her season with no results (finding a husband). So he tells her that she shall marry his protege Mathew who is back in the States. And that is the last man she wants to marry...
If you liked the previous books, you'll enjoy this one too. A very well written story with very good narration. There is some suspense and intrigue that keeps you guessing what the scandal is until the very end of the story so that for me was a plus too. Definitely worth a credit.
Amazing!
If you could sum up Scandal in Spring in three words, what would they be?
Totally breath taking
Who was your favorite character and why?
Of couse, the heroine
Have you listened to any of Rosalyn Landors other performances before? How does this one compare?
Yes, I have and I love them all. Rosalyn in the best!
Did you have an extreme reaction to this book? Did it make you laugh or cry?
It made me laugh and cry!
Any additional comments?
This is a great ending to the 4 friends.
I Really Liked This Series
I recommend it. The joining of these two main characters in marriage is something no one can imagine. If you've read the Wallflowers series, you'll know why.
Truly enjoyed this book and of course Rosalyn Landor is wonderful.
Not the best fo the series
Is there anything you would change about this book?
Not really, except that I couldn't really connect with Daisy as a woman, she seemed too childlike. I'm not sure if that's the book or the voice but there was something missing.
What three words best describe Rosalyn Landors performance?
Constant, well prepared, slightly annoying. I hated her American accent, I think it really detracted from the experience, and Lillian sounded like an old woman or a grumpy headmistress at an all boys boarding school. It made it really hard to sympathize with her and her opinions.
If this book were a movie would you go see it?
I think so. If only to see what they did with it.
Any additional comments?
I really recommend the third in the series, the devil in winter (a devil in winter?), not quite sure what the title was. It was my favorite.
