Great!!
This book made my life easier, on my trip to Beijing. It is a smaller book than all the other tourist guides in Beijing, but has it all. The guide has all the basics you need on what sites to see and where to try eating. Bought two others in Hong Kong and Bangkok and they got me to all the top sites and helped me identify some great spots off the beaten track - highly recommend.
Great travel guidebook!
This is such an extremely helpful and useful book. This guidebook is perfect because I will be visiting all three cities included! Very in-depth information that goes into not only the tourist attractions and sites, but also the regional, political, religious, linguistic, and socioeconomic history. It has great in-depth information on what to visit and why. Highly recommended!
A Great travel guide to one of the worldâs greatest destinations!
General info on Beijing, where to eat, what to do and much more! If you are planning a holiday to China, this book will be of great help. It is like your personal tour guide in and around Beijing. I will definitely make use of it in the near future myself.
Not worth the money
This hardly a book. It is more of an informative brochure for someone who has absolutely no knowledge of Beijing China. Save your money. I returned it as soon as I could.
Okay, but don't expect much
Weather - summer and how men should dress fur it. Ummm .... Okay, I'm going in January and I'm not a man. So ....what little information there is, it is useless to me.
Nice summaries of top sites to see.
There are much better books on Beijing. Yes, they are probably more expensive. You get what you pay for. This is like the cliffs notes version, written by someone aiming for a C grade.
