A great contemporary romance with lashings of heat

I enjoy a good BBW story, and A Model Hero is no exception. I really liked the main character, Gretchen, and found myself rooting for her throughout. The storyline is interesting and different, the writing engaging and the sex scenes scorching. If you're looking for a great contemporary romance story with lashings of heat, check this out.

Don't judge a book by its cover

I loved this story--the hero and heroine think their bodies are "flawed," and change by the end. I liked the secondary character of the heroine's mom as well. The love scenes were spicy and very well-written.

A Satisfying Love Story

A clever romance involving two damaged souls. Our heroine is a plus sized young woman whose nightmare of a mother runs a failing business representing models. The hero is Mom's last remaining client but he has decided to never model again. I was totally rooting for a happy ending.

A good story

I had a hard time getting into this story. I didn't connect with the characters and I thought the hea was a little rushed. I felt it could have been longer as well. However, I did like the story, it was different from what I normally read.

French Lessons for Observers

I felt like a peeping Tom observing the pain and road to healing of William and Lucy. When I first read it, I railed at the author for not writing the conclusion I wanted that would bring closureâfor me, at least. Then, on a subsequent reading, I decided that the author was really clever. By not wrapping up the story and tying it up with a neat little ending, William and Lucy will be able to live many different lives in my imagination. What a wonderful meandering readâmy favorite kind.

Moody and Memorable

For any American reader who loves Paris, or wants an armchair visit to the romance of the expat Parisian experience, Shadows of Paris is a gem. At first, in the moody and gripping opening, I wasnât sure if it was a mystery, a love story, or a myth. Turns out (through multiple turns and twists) that it is all three. And throw in a coming-ofâage story, too. The main characterâs guiltily gustatory pleasures of awakening to French cuisine and the visual beauties of Parisâs architecture and art would be enough, but this haunting novella of romance and self-awareness stayed with me long after the quiet afternoon it took to read it. It left me looking forward to the sequel.

This Slim Volume Packs a Punch!

What a treat,to experience Paris with all five senses, while also being led to deeper insights about human loss, frailty, renewal, and the unexpected nature of life itself, I was impressed with the unpredictable and colorfully detailed ending. And I must admit that, during a busy summer, getting all of this in a slim volume (Homebound Publications' Little Bound Books series) was a bonus!

A lovely, too short book

This well written story takes place in Paris. The characters are sharp and accessible. The story stands alone, however the English book store, and the well guided trip around Paris are a treat. As is the literature discussed in the story. This would make a good play.

Loved reading this little gem

Loved reading this little gem. It makes a perfect companion for a train or airplane ride. "Shadows of Paris" displays a wonderful amount of sweet intrigue paired with the savory taste of Paris. Wrapped in a swirling sauce of character, the novella flows with fast paced delight. Would go well with a nice Bordeaux.

It will cost you $16 to read the whole book. Not a series, THE WHOLE BOOK.

I wish I wish I had read the reviews first, I didn't, I went for the .99 cents and read the book. It was great, loved it----then I found it had a cliffhanger and when I went to order the next part, I found THERE WERE SIX PARTS AND MORE ALL AT $2.99 EACH. Yes, I just yelled. I am really angry. I don't have $16 to read one book, which in effect these six parts are. I will never finish the stories and never buy any more of her books. If they were all .99 cents each, I would have bought them on the spot, or even a bundle of $8 tops...this is just mean and greedy as far as I am concerned. Be warned you will have to budget to get the whole book. I have been burned this way a few times, but never for so much money. I am sure I am not the only one that buys books on kindle----these kind of books----at a rabid pace, so fair pricing means a lot to me. I am retired and reading is my great pleasure, but I have a fixed income and Marata Eros (????) is not in my budget, I don't care how good the story. Of course, you may feel differently, but be warned of the cost.

Hmmm.....

Well, I wouldn't mind paying $5-$10 for a full kindle book. This is getting ridiculous. Authors want us to be fans, but by publishing books in parts for $2.99 each, we end up paying more for a book by an amateur author than we would an author who's well established.

Write a full novel, charge a fair price and make us feel like the fans you claim we are.

What gets me most, is how you ask us not to let our friends borrow your books, and that we should buy additional books (should be called pamphlets) to share. You're kidding right??? Over priced at about $18 for the whole set which amounts to one full novel, then have the nerve to ask us for more money in order to let a family member read it. Get real!!

If I go to Barns&Noble and buy a book, I paid to let my mom or whoever read it.

You want us to respect you, respect us as your fans.

The story was really good, but I've already bought one of your In-Parts-Series and I refuse to do it again. Sorry. Bet the real ending is Great.

Wow! Great start...but beware of cliffhanger

This novella is a great start to the series. Very engaging characters and storyline BUT the story ends with a cliffhanger at just 19% into the book! The rest is just previews or 1st installments to her other series.
