R. O Sawyer unveils a deeply touching plot in A Flower Without A Vase: The Tale Of A Woman Who Found Faith, Love and Peace Through God. Pana, an enchanting young woman, gave up her ambitions for the love of his life and this cast a lifetime shadow on her relationship with her parents. After sharing a blissful life together with their son, Pana struggles with anguish when her husband suddenly goes into a coma.
The plot of her story thickens as she tries to come to terms with what she must eventually do, let go... It was amazing how the author managed to draw me into the story in such a way that I could feel every emotional moment that Pana went through. I found myself engrossed in her ups and downs and the author's immersive words gave me a first hand experience of how tough life can be. This book also comes with a bonus story of Penny whose lifetime journey is also filled with similar trials and tribulations.
If you feel that you are stuck or you are in a dark place, this is a perfect read for you to guide you to the light, to remind you that sometimes the only way around suffering is to go straight through it. In fact, at the end of it all, R. O Sawyer helped me realise that through faith, where there is a will, there is a way and the best is yet to come!

R.O. Sawyerâs A flower without a vase is a heart touching account of a wife who is battling it out hard with herself to keep her hopes alive and high while seeing her husband struggling for his life. This story is a reflection of everyoneâs heart, as we can relate to the emotional turmoil that Pana is going through in her head.
Pana is the lead character who is married to Yusuf. The story begins in such an emotional setting, describing Yusufâs state in the hospital that the author gets the reader feeling for the characters as if the reader was a part of it.
The story telling is very creative. R.O. Sawyer has a very artistic way of changing the tone along with changing scenarios in the story. He takes us back to the beginning of Pana and Yusufâs early days. And the mood is set happy and cheerful when we witness the first time the two characters meet. There is love filled in the writing and it reaches the readerâs heart. The way the story swings through different scenes takes you on an emotional roller coaster.
There is a beautiful description of Panaâs life before Yusuf and the change it took in its course after meeting Yusuf.
