A second chance love story that hits the mark!

So glad I picked up this book. I was so certain I would love the background on Evan and Kate. I had made up my mind that it would take a while for Kate to work her way into my system. Well that took about 5 sentences. I think I fell harder for Kate than Evan did. Evan actually lost some serious ground, it took him a while to dig himself out of that hole.

I loved the start and the end of the book, but I felt a bit cheated in the middle. I know it was all for the good of the story - but I wanted my HEA like yesterday. The start was all about their history - meeting, falling in love, the horrible ending. The middle was the separate stories of their lives apart - then the ending....meeting again and dealing with all the baggage they had left unresolved.

Kate is a serial cheater - the type of girl that has the next guy lined up before she drops the current guy. Then she meets Evan and she makes the mistake of being honest about her past. Guess what that causes....doubt - yep and a sh---storm of trust issues. Kate is full of self doubt and Evan pushes her to believe in herself. He is her biggest fan, but she shuts down. Just as they are making progress, Evan refuses to allow Kate to explain what he just witnessed. Now we have a two heartbroken people. Evan can't get over the thought that she could have cheated on her and she can't get over the fact that he could not trust her and that he walked away. Both blame each other for the disaster. But that all changes when they are face to face - a brief moment of relief...followed by a moment where you want to rip Evan's Eyes out...then a moment when you want to rip his clothes of and profess your undying love for him. And a lot of slapping the heck out of both of them is included as well.

But Evan and Kate never get over their love for each other...but getting over their past mistakes is harder than expected.

Chemistry! Chemistry! Chemistry!

Can I just say WOW!?! Melissa Brown had me hooked from the first page. I have never written a review (and I've read many books on my kindle). This story was so beautifully written, I had to write one. I just hope i do it justice.

I have to say I was a little leery about reading a book where the characters have already been in a relationship, I usually find it boring. Boy, am i glad i chose to give this one a try. The author takes us through the entire course of their relationship. The book starts off after they have broken up, but we are quickly flashed back to their first meeting and then we go through the history of their dating. The chapter titles are dates in time starting in 2007 and going all the way through 2013.

I Want A Helmut of My Own

I loved this story of opposites attract. Farm Boy meets City Girl sparks fly, and they each try to fit in the other one's world. Sexy hero and sassy heroine tha were very well written. I only wish the ending was a tad longer or had an epilogue.

Predictable

The language in this book made it really hard to read the main character is very formal when he is speaking because English is his second language (that just made him annoying) also the author made him the biggest hillbilly he had no phone, no TV, no indoor bathroom.... (the bath tub was in the kitchen!!!!) yet he was apparently a jock and went to collage, I would think that while he was at collage he would learn about computers, phones, and TV's..... he was 2 steps away from being amish.

The lead lady was a photographer and is up to date with technology, after 1 night the guy is totally in love with her and she cant stop thinking about him, he renovated his house and added a bathroom etc.. in the hpe that she would move there one day...... yada yada yada the typical problems happen both try to change the guys a total pushover, I most likely wouldn't read it or recommend it to anyone

Character Driven

Romantic and sexy. I love character-driven romances, and this one was awesome! It's a classic "opposites attract" story. Mel thinks she has everything she wants until she meets Helmut. It was interesting to see how these two worlds mesh. I cheered for them the whole time.

Not Her Best

I have to say I was disappointed. While the author creates interesting characters and places them in interesting places, the heroine seemed to undergo violence and neglect simply for the purpose of winning the reader's sympathy. It was as though every possible scenario from a lot of different novels were gathered together and thrown at her. By the last half of the book, I knew how the story would end. This is sort of Little Orphan Annie in Scotland. The villains were all the worst of the worst caricatures, if they had had mustaches they would have twisted them. I have liked some of the author's novels and wanted to like this one.

Sparkling!

This is a great, well told story, centring around the history of a house and its occupants. The book begins at the turn of the 20th century with an aspiring East End crook purchasing the chandelier to impress his new neighbours and ends in the 1950s. Historical events are recounted with confidence while the characters and story spring to life from the page as Elizabeth Lord works her story telling magic.

This author's previous works are numerous and show her skill in writing family sagas but this book stands alone as a cracking work of fiction, enjoyable to all. I hope the author will publish a sequel and bring the story up to the present day.

There were a few editing issues, some repetition and spelling but none of it detracted from the story so I have no hesitation in awarding it my 5* rating - I loved the story, would recommend it and will read it again.

This book was a quick read, intriguing book. It does require a little bit too much reliance on the readers belief in the supernatural. However, it was a very fun plot.

I obtained this book from the author in exchange for an honest review and I loved the story! Twenty-three year old, Kayla Cross had tired to make her mom and dad happy by attending music school and played the violin as they wanted but it wasn't her passion. Great story!

I definitely love this series of stories from Melissa Tatum. I read all of her previous books from the Can't control the feeling book series and I am definitely delighted by it. I love the plot and the intriguing note the author gives. The characters are simply amazing and the story is special in every book. I definitely recommend this book to everybody who likes to read something interesting and relaxing!

A great romantic novel, that keeps the reader engaged till the end. Bobby is an interesting character who is determined to have Mindy back. However Mindy has moved on with Kevin. A very entertaining book and very well narrated. Highly recommend this.

Cool

I'm not a big fan of interracial romance novels, for some reason it irks me when I listen to a writers description of the characters. The story never feels right to me for some reason. But I like this story, the main characters are meant to be, but like life, someone has to mess it up to make them as a couple stronger.

PERFECT!

If you'd like to read books with stories about people who don't even know they are looking for love this is the one that is a complicated and beautiful love story they struggle to accept the feeling they have for one another but it's not over there's a lot of twists and turns I cannot wait to find out what's really going to happen so if you want to book that's going to have you sitting here rooting for the couple this is the one.

Good

This is a good book and great start to the trilogy the author has written. I enjoyed getting to know the characters. It was good to see how two people from different backgrounds could come together and find all the things they have in common. This book is a wonderful romance with a bit of mystery mixed in which will keep you reading and wondering what will happen next.

Loved it!

This book went to a new level of things not always being what it seems. I can't wait to read more. The author is an amazing author who makes you want more. I highly recommend this book to all romance readers.

Very good read!

I honestly enjoyed reading this book. The story is very well written, simple, but full of emotions and some very nice and well developed characters. The plot of this book is also very good and I can say I read its pages in one breath, it was really hard to put it down. I recommend this book for all of those who like good love stories.

Elegant love story

After many vicissitudes finally Mindy and Bobby I can explore their feelings. A delicate love story, a couple truly in love ... but as always the worm of jealousy pitfall.

This second part of the story is really very very beautiful, very soft.

Great love story!

This is one great romantic story full with amazing lovely moments. I enjoyed reading it and I couldn't leave this book until I reached the last page. One again Melissa Tatum hasn't disappointed me. I recommend reading all of her book series because they are truly amazing!

Good and entertaining book

I am tired of reading same story books and I want to read something new story for me. I am browsing books that are new to me and I grabbed this book. The storyline of this book is great for me. Bobby and Mindy are totally amazing and hot. The twists are unpredictable and I want to read it again because of these twists. I like reading this kind of book now. I can say that this book is short and I hope it is longer.

Nice story

This book has very nice story. I did not understand at first at since I bought this, the third volume but after a while I slowly understand it. It was a bit off on some part (maybe because I did not read the 2 volumes) but base from my reading, it was entertaining and the characters are well developed. Great read.

interesting book

Bobby and Mint are perfect for each other. No spoiling but this book is quite unpredictable.This book is quite down to the earth. I think a lot of people can relate to the main characters. Adult content contained.
