A Nice Book And No Buts About it

I read this book after enjoying Miss Welshman's first book titled Posse.

Having taught English to High School Girls for the best part of thirty years I

am pleased to say that Australia now has its own version of Stephanie Meyer, J K Rowling and other writers with direct appeal to

younger readers. Anais is everything I observe in young teenage girls: she is mouthy, saccastic and inquisitive and all too realistically willing to take people at face value.

Miss Welshman has become more adroit with both character and dialogue since her first book and Anais Butt

has the versimilitude necessary to reach out to its target audience.

While there is more than enough to keep the male of the species interested in the story , Anais is a character which will resonate

with young female readers.There is a delightful sense of restraint employed by the author to keep her central figure , Anais, enough of a rebel to like, without her appearing too self-obsessed, yet charming enough that the reader will be with her for the whole journey.

If your teenager is looking for a good read then, if I might extend the pun, Anais Butt and the hairy handed gent should engage them in a nice read.

I can't wait for the next instalment!

I had been eagerly awaiting the next release by Kate Welshman after reading and loving her debut novel "Posse".

A Wonderful Thrilling Sequel

I loved Daemon Parallel and I was so thrilled there was a sequel so I could continue on the adventure with Cameron, Morgan, and Eve.

Werewolf Parallel is definitely not treading old ground. The second story has new villains and threats as readers delve deeper into the Parallel. The story even enters the heart of the Daemon world, Daemonica , where we meet a family of Werewolves. From the glimpse we got in this story I would love to learn more about Werewolf society in Daemonica. We also learn quite a bit more about Cameron and especially Morgan and Eve. While in Daemon Parallel they are just starting to get to know each other, here their friendship and connection grows even stronger. It is impossible not to fall for this unlikely trio.

Where the first story was a coming of age adventure this second story continues Cameronâs growth where he learns sometimes sacrifices are needed and growing up is sometimes about letting go. In many ways this second story is more bitter sweet and poignant than the first. I do hope for more someday but if this is where the journey for the reader ends it concludes on a meaningful note.

What makes Roy Gillâs parallel worlds so strong is the story may take us to another world but in the end the struggles the characters face are symbolically things we can all relate to.

Daemon Parallel Plus

Werewolf Parallel is an absolute joy. It has all the fun and adventure and imagination of Daemon Parallel, but multiplied. This time around Cameron, our protagonist from the last book, is out to save the shop and the Parallel from disgusting grey blob-monsters with detachable rolls of fat. Eve, Morgan, and Cameron all get their time in the limelight, but I think it's Cameron who steals the show again. He comes to terms with the werewolf persona he accidentally acquired in the last book, and yet he is still haunted every day by the spectre of his Grandma Ives. I have a sneaking suspicion we haven't seen the last of that dame yet.

This novel is a wicked and wild ride, a jaunt through the weird world that Mr. Gill's brain seems to occupy. If you like strange humor and stranger monsters, this is the novel for you. I really hope Mr. Gill is working on a third book in this series, but whatever it is I can't wait to see what he comes up with next.

Really Good

I loved Mystic City, the first book in this series. After putting down Toxic Heart, I wasn't sure that I liked it ... then I realized that I had basically read it in one sitting. It wasn't at all what I expected, but looking back I like the twists and turns and I'm glad it didn't take the path of every other series out there.

An unexpected surprise,,,can't wait for 3rd book

I loved the 1st book Mystic city so I waited for this book for more than a year. As I was reading Mystic Heart I was thinking this is not what I was expecting and up until the end I was still wondering what the heck. Now I cant stop think about it why because the book was a good surprise.

Amazing

I loved both books though in a sense I think I knew aria was going to get mystic powers. Amazing loved the book if your on the edge of yes and no I would choose yes.

Cant wait of rate next book to come out. I love how it is full of surprises that you don't see coming.

Better than the first book

Loved the ending and the heroine's decisions. Another good plot - Turk is one of my favorite characters in this book.

I enjoyed the journey through this Beautiful Love story.

I felt the adventure , as if I were walking through the meadow with Charlie and Meadow watching their bond develop and grow. Twists and turns will keep you guessing

This classic should be a Disney movie without a doubt!

Fiona, the narrator was outstanding!

Her voice is Beautiful

and held my interest without distraction.

I had no problem following the story

Her tonal change and inflection was perfect... enough to realize character change but not too exaggerated to distract from the listening experience.

Thought Provoking

Ronnell D. Porter has created an intriguing setting with a variety of sympathetic characters in a story that held my attention even though I didn't agree with his premise. There are quite a few editing errors, but they're not blatant enough to detract from the novel, which has several interesting twists in it. I wasn't sure where the story was headed at first, and I thought perhaps it was a parody of the extreme legalism found in some churches. But it turns out that Porter is serious, and passionate about his message. He presents a very distorted view of faith, portraying those who believe the Bible as spineless, mindless bigots with no mercy, offering God's Word as a major source of evil in this world, and makes no mention of Christ's work on the Cross. If you agree with the author's viewpoints, this story will have you saying "Amen!" If you are a true follower of Christ, then the novel could benefit you as an inside look at how much of the world views us. Either way, this book should provide some stimulating discussion.

Not your typical religious fiction

First let me say that this book is young adult. That's not good or bad, but I couldn't tell right out from the blurb.

For the most part I enjoyed 'The Untold Want.' At about the last third of the novel it become very "busy"...too many secrets, discoveries and noise for my liking. It's like everything had to happen all at once, and it almost seemed as if the author was trying too hard to make things exciting.

I think the premise of the book is cool...a society that operates on the literal translation of the Bible. The execution was well done, although the ending was a tad hokey to me.

I don't know if I would call this a traditional religious fiction book. It's definitely about religion and has religious themes throughout, but it's sole focus wasn't on just pushing religion. There were elements of love, forgiveness, hatred, evil, courage, and coming into one's own. It was a solid read with a solid --if somewhat cluttered-- plot.

There was a very soap operaish scene in the final chapters that was predictable.
