The beginning, middle and end

Long winded and generic

The whole audio book follows the same pattern as the sample clip. It is less focused on Arabic and more on generic stories of the author's experiences and how he developed his memorisation methods. Perhaps some may find the memorisation methods useful, but for me personally I find other ways more effective (such as the Collins language series with Paul Noble). I find listening to speech, having to construct sentences from memory and repetition more useful for language acquisition.

i haven't listened to the entire recording but with the books I've purchased i believe this will be just as high quality to get just like my Spanish skills- just in a shorter amount of time...to some it may be better than going out into the great outdoors...there are a few word unknown to me but time will help better me...the ugly duckling found a way to smile again?

It teaches you a few basics like I want, I need, I'm going to and then shows you how to customize some simple basic sentences in Mandarin so you can survive. I want to eat. I would like to pay. I have to go. etc .....

Brilliant way of learning a new language

I love the Michel Thomas way of learning. However I believe Jane Wightwick and Mahmoud Gaafar have a great way of teaching and keeping you learning. The reason why I say this is because I did start with the beginner level French with Michel Thomas. It really didn't have the same appeal
