    Publisher's Summary:
Leadbeater discusses the use and acquisition of psychic powers, although this is not a how-to or an instructional article. He is writing from a philosophical standpoint, addressing students of theosophy who may be experiencing psychic changes through the course of their education and meditations. He cautions students against forcing their psychic will upon others, even if they are doing so with positive intentions and with the other individual's best interests at heart. He also discusses psychic use through mediumship. He closes the essay with a tale of one of the occult masters, which he so often enjoys telling.

    Title: Touching Spirit
    Subtitle: The Letters of Minominike
    Author: James C. Washburn
    Narrator: Robert Foster, James Washburn
    Format: Unabridged
Length: 8 hrs and 9 mins
    Language: English
    Release date: 06-05-15
    Publisher: Kal-Ba Publishing
Ratings: 5 of 5 out of 1 votes
Genres: Religion & Spirituality, Religious Thought
    Publisher's Summary:
In the pristine environment of the northern boreal forest, Tulugaq Kagagi muses over a series of letters. Written in the vernacular of his grandfather, he recalls his life experiences and the spiritual teachings these events have brought him: transforming his life and his worldview.
Through the writing of one man and the inner thoughts of another, we too live through wrenching pain and revitalizing joy and peace. From death to life-giving ecstasy, we follow the life journeys of two men, separated by generations and culture, as they find meaning and rest for their lives.
After the drownings of his parents in 1928, a white infant is orphaned in the Canadian north. Tulugaq Kagagi is lovingly accepted into the home of a childless Ojibwa/Inuit couple, Peepeelee and James. In his teens, he leaves their home to continue schooling at a seminary in the south. The next 30 years of his life are spent in traditional religious vocation. During this time, the enfolding of spirit - its peace and presence - slowly fades from his life.
In midlife, upon his adoptive father's death, he returns to the cabin of his childhood and discovers a series of letters written by his great-grandfather, Minominike. His religious education and worldview is challenged by the unconditional love and truth expressed in these letters. As he reads the words of this old man's life, his heart returns to a time of embrace and spiritual oneness that he has not known in decades. Feeling the wind of the spirit and sensing the inner whisper of a still-small voice, meaning and love are reawakened in his heart. We travel with him on a path of revelation, as he opens his heart to the unity and benevolence surrounding us all.
This is a novel that pierces the core of humanity's longing for inner peace and opens the simple joy of being to all of us. The letters of Minominike bring insight and encourage us to live in the reality of transcendent love.

    Outstanding
A beautiful tale. The story of a loving Great Grandfather leaving letters to a young boy who would still be too young to understand or remember the old man's wisdom when the old man's time came to leave this earthly life. It shows us in no uncertain terms that we live in an allegorical world. This world which is the living book, the message, the loving letters to us from the Father of us all, if we would only learn to read this book of Truth that we are surrounded by and living within.
This world is not an illusion,as some would have us believe. It is a loving message. A living book. Written in allegory.
But this is something for each person to learn.
This is a gem of a book and a gift for your soul.
You know the feeling you get when you hear a piece of music that makes your heart and soul soar? Or the feeling when a gorgeous rainbow graces the sky and an inner peace and calm settles over you? Those are the feelings that will wash over you in many places as you read this gem of a book. It has been eons since I have experienced what I considered to be a literary gift for my soul in my hands. This book is a treasure trove of wisdom that is interwoven in a story that will captivate your attention. Perfect for young and old alike. Give it as a gift to someone you love and make sure that person begins with you. You will thank yourself. I did.

    Excellent
If you liked books by Michael Newton, Brian Weiss et al.....I believe you'll
Enjoy this. Lots of interesting studies of the writers clients, some stories are really amazing. Just my kind of book.
those who can hear let them hear
shows the world that we need to be more forgiving, be humble and more forgiving.
    Fascinating life-changing usage of hypnotherapy
Dr. Michael Newton, Dr. Brian Weiss, Dolores Cannon, Robert Monroe, William Buhlman, and many other authors have provided interesting books about continued existence of consciousness beyond the physical experience. The first 3 authors explored via hypnotherapy and the others, along with too many other OBE explorers who have authored books to mention them all here, have come up with many points of similarity.
This book is a good addition to the genre. I often cringed at what appeared to be a rather aggressive and leading questioning style during the hypnotherapy sessions . . . but this may be a result of the author condensing lengthy question and answer sessions into a shorter writing format.
The benefits to people who were given an opportunity to do deep self examination over being prescribed some pills did seem to be a good point that the author had threading the book from start to finish.
It took a while for me to get used to the narrator.
    Excellent
Highly recommend this book. It has everything to put ones mind in a positive view of the afterlife.
    My beliefs confirmed!
After reading this book, I have become even more certain of "The purpose of our lives on earth". I couldn't' put this book down and now that I have finished it am wondering what I can read next. How can I continue in the spiritual education and development of my soul? I have always wondered why my life has been so full of painful experiences from as far back as I remember! I feel that regressive relaxation would help me to heal and move on with what is left of this present life I am living on earth!

    Publisher's Summary:
When discussing Israel and its long history of conflict, the emotions are so charged and, for many, the stakes are so high that even engaging in a simple conversation about the subject can be like running a marathon of endlessly heated ideas and never-ending historical perspectives.
In telling this story, I am not interested in taking any side. I just want to tell the story of how one small nation and a small group of people have had the tenacity and courage to defy the odds and preserve an ancient culture that has become the epicenter of not just conflict but religion, philosophy and human society as a whole.
Because Israel has contributed so much to all of us; what was once just an Israeli culture has grown to become what is, by and large, an inherited world culture. As the scriptures promised to Abraham, "I will make your descendants countless as the dust of the earth; if anyone could count the dust upon the ground, then he could count your descendants;" (Genesis 13:16) I believe that this scripture does hold true.
Because the whole earth has indeed benefited and been greatly influenced from the powerful traditions and thought that have reverberated from Israel throughout history. Since the days of the Covenant that was made with Abraham in the desert, we have all become great inheritors of this tradition.
With an inheritance that is as countless as the dust of the earth. Many great and wonderful things have come out of Israel and its people and the world would just not be the same without it.

I recommend! Eu recomendo a leitura!
This book clearly explains the theory of Heaven and Hell: why it's used; the origin, the purpose of its creation, comparing with Spiritualist's view. Later, it shows testimonials of "dead" people about their situation after "death". Narration is good, narrator voice is pleasant. It worth reading! O livro é excelente, metódico como todos os livros de Kardec, bem organizado, muito instrutivo para Espíritas e no Espiritas. O leitor tem voz agradável, torna a leitura fácil. Recomendo certamente!

I am looking into the Wiccan way of life as a way to bring peace into my life. I have read or listened to numerous books and found this one to be wonderfully simple and instructive. It doesn't overwhelm a newbie like me with lots of history or instruction. It does a great job of explaining what Wicca is and isn't and the basic tools and concepts it employs. I enjoyed the narrator as he was clear and easy to listen to. I definitely recommend this to others who want clear, basic information.

    Spiritual Healing Guide
Spiritual healing is a subject that people have great interest in -- believer or not. Just the expression alone gives rise to questions and curiosities like, "How does this work?", "Where did this come from?", "How do you practice it?" and etc. The book addresses almost all of the basic questions like these.
I was surprised to read about quantum physics in a book like this because I was under the impression that science and spirituality were in total opposites of each other. Another misconception addressed was the difference between religiosity and spirituality -- very insightful.
The concepts made more sense as I read on, especially because the book contains mostly information on different sub-topics connected to spiritual healing rather than the application of it. It's a great topic introduction for people that are curious or for people that are actually interested.
    Excellent Foundational Work
The first time I came across the concept of "spiritual healing" was more than 30 years ago. A teacher here in San Diego had a 26-week course on spiritual healing and although healing isn't my life path, it's been something I've been connected to for all of that time. That's why I can say with authority (IMHO) that I think this book offers newcomers an excellent foundation from which to move forward in their healing studies. I really liked the info on the chakras (which I know well) and Reiki (which I don't). A good beginner's guide.
    Waster of Money and Paper
Waste of money and paper. I thought I was buying a text book that would provide comprehensive coverage of these three healing methods. What I got was 22 pages loaded with cute pictures, simplistic definitions, and some pages with only one line on them. I could get all this stuff from the internet and saved my money for something else. I would actually give it ZERO stars but they don't have that rating. Look elsewhere if you are seriously interested in these healing methods. The author might be the healer she claims to be but her book is a waste of time.
    Spiritual Healing for Beginniners
The Spiritual Healing Guide is perfect for beginners who want to know more about the basics of spiritual healing including the difference between spiritual and medical healing, chakras and raki.

    Riepilogo Editore:
Legge Silvia Cecchini; durata: 40 ore e 30 minuti.
