A brilliant take on the three little pigs.
This is a fun, animated tale of the three little piggies, that big bad wolf, and the hamantaschen young children will love ...
Once upon a time (of course) there were three little piggies living in a brick house in the countryside. It was the month of Adar and Purim was just around the corner. When Rishon looked at the calendar, he declared, âThe Purim carnival is tomorrow!â The three little piggies loved the carnival, but needed to make costumes. Rishon, Sheni, and Shlishi gathered up their âcraft supplies to make crowns for the carnival.â Out came the paper, out came the poster board, and out came the paste for Shlishi. Hmmmm! Why would Shilishi need paste for his crown?
Shilishi was going to make his crown out of papier mache! Rishon and Sheni made their crowns one, two, three quickly and were out playing in the mud while Shilishi was hard at work. There was no time to play for Shilishi because it took him all day to finish up his glorious crown with little fake jewels stuck in the side. The next day the three little piggies put on their crowns and were off to the Purim carnival. There was one other critter in the forest who was thinking of heading off to the carnival and that was none other than that big bad wolf, who was lurking in the trees. âMmmm, I smell hamantaschen,â he thought to himself, âDelicious! Iâll go into town and buy some.â
When the big bad wolf showed up on the town streets, everyone scrambled. They all recognized those beady eyes and that thin mustache and long snout was a giveaway ... that wolf was nothing but trouble! Everyone had âbright and lively costumesâ on, but not that big bad wolf. Ah, ha! If he stole one, no one would recognize him and he could buy that delicious hamantaschen! He spotted Rishon and his paper crown and demanded he hand it over saying, âThen Iâll huff and puff, and Iâll blow your crown off!â No go because the crown blew away. Then he approached Sheni, but crunnnch, it got trampled by some children. Ah, ha! There was Shlishi! Would the big bad wolf be able to get his crown and the hamantaschen?
This is a lively, fun, animated tale of the three little piggies, that big bad wolf, and the hamantaschen young children will love. This retold tale has a great little twist to it and thatâs the fact that the wolf wants to eat some ham. Not piggie ham of course, but delicious hamantaschen, a delicious, sweet pastry served during Purim. Children will laugh when they hear the wolf demanding those crowns and the responses Rishon, Sheni, and Shlishi give him: âNot for all the hamantaschen in town!â The artwork is perfectly rendered with lots of fairy tale-like appeal.
