Brilliant Balance
I thoroughly enjoyed this book. Accessible and engaging but with great depth and very informative.
loved it!!!

very relateable , great book, didn't expect it from the title
Worth listening and re-listening
What made the experience of listening to The Hip Chick's Guide to Macrobiotics the most enjoyable?
The Hip Chick knows all about macrobiotics. She was in a top spot at the Kushi Institute, and she has many years of experience living and cooking the macrobiotic way. Her delivery is spirited, and she reveals a treasury of information that otherwise could take years, not hours, to glean and assimilate.
What other book might you compare The Hip Chick's Guide to Macrobiotics to and why?
"The Complete Macrobiotic Diet" by Denny Waxman is also excellent. His book emphasizes more of the spiritual and lifestyle sides of macrobiotics. Unfortunately, it does not come in an audio version.
What about Jessica Porters performance did you like?
Her spirit and sense of humor.
Was this a book you wanted to listen to all in one sitting?
No, there was too much information to absorb in one sitting. It was worth a second listening. I'm contemplating another listening in case I missed something.
Any additional comments?
Jessica's book gives me the confidence to approach and initiate myself into macrobiotic cooking and life. It was great -- a real inspiration!
Entertaining look at Macrobiotics
I really enjoyed this entertaining yet informative look at macrobiotics. Everyone believes that people who eat macrobiotic diets are very boring but this author proves they do have a sense of humour!!! Some parts are quite cringe where the author tries her hand at different accents but it's only a tiny issue! Overall well worth a listen if you're thinking about heading down the extreme healthy route of macrobiotic dieting!
