Eye Opening and Forced A Paradigm Shift For Me

Would you recommend this audiobook to a friend? If so, why?

This audiobook goes into detail about why being bold, upfront and straightforward with women can bypass their social programming and eventually get them in sync with their true sexual desires. Alan Roger Currie explains and demonstrates how being verbally inclined/seductive can help you navigate through four types of women. He says you don't have to seduce a Reciprocator, you cannot seduce a Rejecter nor a Timewaster, but you can definitely seduce a Wholesome Pretender. Wholesome Pretenders are women that want to sleep with you but are programmed to put on a facade. This audiobook is gold as well as his previous ones.

What did you like best about this story?

I enjoyed the fact that it opened my eyes to things that I wasn't aware of. It also armed me with some skills that I can improve my voice and demeanor over time.

Which scene was your favorite?

My favorite part were the verbal stories and most specifically the last one. Alan demonstrated how he was able to get his friend a threesome with his aural skills. It simply amazed me. I think I need Alan as my wingman!

SOOOOOOO GOOOOOD!!!! A+++++++

When I was presented with the offer to listen to this audiobook in exchange for my honest review I initially declined. I hate nonfiction! I personally don't want to read anything nonfiction unless I absolutely have to! Plus, I am in a very satisfying relationship and saw absolutely no need for me to read a guide on this subject. I thought I knew it all and even joked saying, "I could have written that book myself"! Fortunately for me, I noticed how high the ratings were and decided to read some of the reviews. I was surprised to find so many of the people who listened to or read the book had initially been reluctant to pick up the book, just like me. And from what I saw, everyone who did give the book as chance was glad that they had (just like I am now)!

This is an absolutely brilliant book! Due to the creative mind of Violet Blue, topics I thought I was already well-versed in were reframed or taken apart and looked at in totally new ways. Because Ms. Blue shared stories, tips and suggestions based not only on her own personal experience but collected from interviews and research, I was left with many new ideas! Hearing about things from Ms. Blue's own point of view or from the perspective of those she knows or heard of also resulted in my learning more that I had expected. I even found myself wanting to revisit ideas or fantasies I had long forgotten about. I am very excited to say that fantasies and ideas my husband and I had once desire yet were forced to discard, thinking they were not tangible might now actually be possible! Although this book is primarily geared towards couples, I believe that anyone listening to or reading it would benefit from it in some way!

Although this is a, "guide", it is written in an entertaining style, not even close to resembling the put-me-to-sleep-style reference type guide books out there. In fact, this book is actually FUN to listen to! Although it does contain factual information (interesting, useful factual information), it also contains entertaining vignettes and several erotic short stories by the fabulous Alison Tyler. The vignettes and erotic shorts perfectly correlate with the subject being discussed, providing us with sexy and fun examples of the topic at hand.

Much better than I expected!

I've read a lot of books on BDSM and expected another manual. I was not expecting how loving, moving and spiritual this book is. It took me deeper into the reason we're Tops and bottoms and shone a light on the pleasure and benefits.

A must read if you're exploring outside of the traditional world.

Informative

I loved this book. It was so easy to listen to and follow. I felt that it covered a variety of topics and gave at least a broad definition. I liked that certain topics were introduced in this book but that the author informed you more research should be done because it was an intense or dangerous topic. The best part of this book though was that it expressed that trust, respect, and communication are the base of a healthy D/s relationship.

I find it very useful to have chapters built into the recording. This book doesn't have chapter markers, so it often couldn't find my place the next time I listened.

Saida is a lifeline to help us travel back home

I loved the way she writes with such clarity, and scholarship. When I first began listening I did not know that she had a PHD. but after the first chapter, I could easily tell that this was not, ( I am Woman Hear Me Roar ). This is the next-generation of the two legged species, on the way back from the industrial revolution, to the wisdom of our ancestors. I am buying this paper book, and study it, alongside of my Tao of Sexology. I gave each of my children a copy of Cultivating Male & Female Sexology Through The Tao, when they turned 16. Because I want them to live abundantly. I am 66 now, I tripped over something I didn't see, fell and got a concussion. At the hospital the nurse ask me what medicine was I taking, and what health challenges did I suffer from, When I said, none, she looked shocked, and said, ( how did that happen?), I said, I have a 90% plant based diet, and I take exemplary of my vagina. My favourite sex ed book for adults.

This is my favourite general sex ed book for grown-ups. Grassroots sex educator DuckyDooLittle has taken 200 of the most common sex and sexuality questions she's heard at classes, workshops, and bachelorette parties and arranged them into logical chapters full of research, anecdotes, and down-toEarth wisdom. The questions are listed in the Table of Contents, making it easy for folks to flip to the answer they need in the heat of the moment! ;) Or, you can sit and read the book straight through, like I did. It's an easy, informative read either way.

There's lots of great information in this book about how to have sexier sex, but, even better, we learn about bodies, our own and our lovers' tingly bits, and probably-tingly bits, and maybe-tingly bits. Ducky gives us the anatomy lessons most of us never got as kids, and tells us why we should care about the parts of a penis, or about what a vulva looks like. She helps us understand what we'll probably find when we take our (or our lovers') clothes off, and how to explore all the surprises that come with having a truly unique, individual human body.

What I love about this book is that Ducky is excited about sex, and about bodies, but not in a way that makes me feel like she's breathing down my neck, and making assumptions about my sex-life. I've seen too many adult sex ed books in which the author seems to be trying to seduce me. No thank you! In Sex With The Lights On, I feel like I have that really good friend in high school, who always knew more than everybody else, except, this time, that friend actually does know what she's talking about. She won't steer you wrong, and she's not shy about telling you when you're better off figuring it out yourself.

Take Ducky's answer to questions about what the best, or most innovative, sexual position is. She doesn't start naming positions named after contorted animals. She tells us where we can find sex position guides, but then she says to find what's innovative for us and our bodies.

Good book

The dirty talk is explained in a way that is do able. I am able to speak these words in bed now.

Good Tips

I skipped the first few chapters because I don't have apprehensions and I'm comfortable with dirty talk. Those chapters would be useful if I was nervous or he wasn't interested and I was trying to get him on board. The dirty talk examples have me ideas of what to say and how to say it. I like that the tips are divided into foreplay, main play, after play, etc. I bought this book because I wanted to return the favor because he was driving me crazy (concentration at work, speeding home...lol). So I had to return the favor and build up my confidence with concrete strategies. The ones I've used so far have been most effective! I could tell from his reactions that the words worked, jackpot!

Quick and easy

A good starting point for a shy girl...I want to speak but the words never leave my mind... I think after a few more listens I will be more comfortable with the words and who knows I mix even be able to say them...
