Awesome adaptation. One of my favorites.

Cinderella Revisited

This is a fantastic book for those who love faerie tales. The story of Cinderella is expanded upon, giving her an actual personality. It's especially heart-warming that the prince has to do more than match her up with a glass slipper to earn her love and her hand in marriage. I highly recommend this book to anyone who ever wished their beloved childhood faerie tales would never end (or at least, weren't so darn short!) If you can't find this book, I would also recommend "Deerskin" and "Beauty" by Robin McKinley, and "Briar Rose" by Jane Yolen. Happy reading!

Format: Unabridged

Length: 1 hr and 37 mins

Language: English

Release date: 11-03-15

Publisher: Penguin Audio

Ratings: 2 of 5 out of 1 votes

Genres: Kids, Ages 5-7

Publisher's Summary:

Twenty-five years after its original publication, Do I Have to Say Hello? Aunt Delia's Manners Quiz for Kids and Their Grown-ups is back, and do we and our kids all need it. In a series of lighthearted multiple-choice quizzes, alternate scenarios, and true-or-false questions, Delia Ephron, the author who brought us the best-selling How to Eat Like a Child, depicts a range of possibilities that reflect life as it is as well as life as it ought to be. Covering table manners, car manners, playground manners, school manners, and more, this is an audiobook that is sure to delight (and horrify) adults and children of all ages.

Aunt Delia knows what makes the difference between a pleasant and an excruciating visit to a friend's house in the company of a young child. She knows the proper order in which the following actions take place: (a) Throw up; (b) Get out of the car; (c) Ask Uncle Jerry to pull over. In short, she is practical and basic: She does not get into fish forks, but she knows what to do with bubble gum. She also deals with such things as kindness, sharing, consideration, generosity, and diplomacy.

Hilarious Read On Teaching Kids Manners

Hilarious way to teach kids manners. Delia Ephron makes a great 'quiz' with her book Do I Have to Say Hello? Aunt Delia's Manners Quiz for Kids and Their Grown-Ups. With many hilarious choices to choose in already crazy situations, this 'quiz' on manners will have you rolling. If your kids have issues with good manners, read them this book and see what they choose! At times you will presented with some different types of questions, or be given a small story on what not to do. But in any way you look at it, you will be sure to laugh!

The Future is yours with great well mannered teachings

We been reading this book in homeschool for fun and it has really good manner tips and puts the question in really fun ways to encourage kids to know the right answers, some are really funny. I highly recommend this to any new family that might need some help with good teachings and upbringings.

Simple Civility

My five year old granddaughter absolutely loves it! She says its super! I suggested ot to my sister who has taught 2nd and 3rd grade for over 25 years, it is spot on in her opinion...kids need to learn how to navigate the social norms if they are not getting the message at home...if nothing else it can serve to reinforce middle-class norms, simple civility. Refreshing.

Hilarious! My grandchildren request it over and over again ...

Hilarious! My grandchildren request it over and over again. We substitute the names of the aunt and uncle in the book for the names of their real aunt and uncle. Adds a touch of realism for the three year olds

Family Favorite!

I gave this book to my stepdaughter back in the day and it became one of her favorite books. Now she's requested that I give it to her son. Happily!

Había una vez una cabra y con sus siete hijos vivía;

Su madre tenía que ir un día al mercado;

les dijo que debían tener mucho cuidado.

"No le abran la puerta a ningún desconocido;

él podría decir mentiras y disfrazarse;

por eso ustedes tienen mucho que cuidarse."

Todos se comportaron cuando su madre se había ido;

Poco a poco sus tareas habían concluido.

Pero el lobo desde el atardecer los observaba;

Esos pequeños muy deliciosos se veían;

De repente se escuchó un golpe en la puerta;

"No eres nuestra madre, tu voz es muy grave;

El lobo de la puerta se apartó despacio;

él cambiaría su voz de ser necesario.

Comió dulces de jengibre para sonar diferente;

Un cabrito se asomó bajo la puerta;

I LOVED THIS BOOK!

Any additional comments?

This is a story about a cockatiel named Anna who was saved from a bullying parrot named Blue. The parrot had ripped out all of Anna's tail feathers. Anna goes to live with a new owner who nurses her back to health and Anna blossoms. Anna becomes a playful, alert and happy bird. She loves to play with her owner's earrings and perch on her head. She has two friends named Ricky and Lucy, two little canaries. I thought this was an adorable children's book and I thoroughly enjoyed it. It was such a sweet story.
