I LOVED this series

This is a review of the Druid Series Books 1-9, as if this was one book. The same review will be posted for all books in this series on my Goodreads profile. Spoiler free review! Star levels may change with the different books as some were more compelling than others. But all dependent on each other.

I LOVED this series. This is a pretty epic weaving of druids, vampires, Mers, etc. It is imperative, in my opinion, to read these back to back to back. Do. Not. Stop. Marata Eros has an incredible ability to paint a richly visual environment and give the reader tangible characters that you can attach to - for better or worse! To me, no matter the content or genre, if I can âseeâ what Iâm reading, the author has gone above and beyond in creating a work of art. I became invested in the entire story, the complete lives and history that were being played out before me. This story is saturated with intense action, hot sex, mythical creatures, and a captivating history of another kind of existence. Even reading them in order, the timeline and characters can get a little confusing at times, but donât give up, itâs worth it!

After reading the entire thing, it all comes into perspective. I loved trying to work it out along the way. I truly enjoyed the back and forth of characters, timeline, events, etc. I admit I wrote the author at one point to make sure I was reading things in the right order and wasnât missing anything, but other than that, I really, really liked having to focus as much as I did to keep it all straight.

This is a pretty epic time line of events, characters and their history. It is important to read them in order. Things do seem to double back from time to time, and it is completely worth re-reading as you go along to make sure you have it straight! Not many series are worth that, again, in my opinion. This one was.

I like the story line and characters

I like the story line and characters. What I don't like is that 20 percent of the book is about the characters and the remaining 80 percent are other stories. You are paying for the story and not the "bonuses". I have purchased several of the continuing story and is overwhelmed with these bonuses, some of which are repeated through spin-offs.

An addictive series

There are now three different sects of vampires. With two Druid male vampires who have the superior strength and can walk in daylight, but not without the effects of an allergy to the sun. There are now three Druid females that have been discovered. One has been prophesied as the Queen who will renew the vampire race but Holly is only 19 and a week ago she was a virginal college student. Holly has had to undergo the mating ritual decreed by the Vampire Bible. Her sister, Rachel is 28. Holly is with Zachary, the rogue vampire. Rachel is with Cole, the Reaper. But now the faction vampires are determined to capture the Queen and breed her. Beau, a newly discovered Druid Male vampire met Aubree, the newly found Druid female when he rescued from being raped. They are now a bonded pair and Aubree is pregnant. Beau has just rescued her from the faction before she could be breed by them.

The action remains fast paced. The characters are well developed. The book is a fast read and disappointing when the end is reached so soon.

Thrill ride

Angeline is on a desperate hunt to find her little sister within the confines of a brothel. She has nothing to offer except her virginity.

Lots of mystery and intrigue, coupled with a very sweet and loving affair with a PI, made this book such a fun and exciting ride. I love the way Angeline turned into a therapist, almost, for these men. She had the advice from her PI lover and a good dose of maturity to give her a leg up on the other girls at the brothel.

This was a great, quick listen. I started and finished in one setting. Veronica Pace is such a fantastic narrator. She picks the right characters and roles to play and brings the characters to life. Love her!

Loving this Series!

I am really enjoying this series so far. This is book #2 and we not only get Rachel's POV in this story; but also Cole's. Rachel is still being held captive by the Rogue vampire, Zach who is after her Druid blood just like all of the other vampires. Cole is on the journey trying to find Rachel, because in his opinion, Rachel is his; and he wants no one else to have her. This installment introduces us to a new Druid named: Holly. She is an innocent, as well as only nineteen years old. There are some facts that are revealed about her, and Zach gets a huge surprise when he comes face to face with Holly!

Even though this is a short story, there is a lot going on from beginning to end. The author does a great job of having plenty of reveals without it being an information dump for the reader. The fight scenes are very graphic and full of action, I was cringing at some of the gross descriptions; but the scenes were extremely well written.

Once again, Marata Eros delivers an action packed story full of excitement and surprises. I am fully engaged in this wonderful series and I can't wait to see what happens next in this interesting world!

This book has everything - Action, Suspense, and some naughtyness.

This installment has a great plot we follow on from the first book Reapers, Rachel is still in trouble but also being looked after and the new introduction of Holly is a wonderful twist, but I wont tell you why.

All up this series is an enjoyable read and so quick that it keeps you on the edge of your seat wanting more.

I read the first novella in this series and was hooked. This installment brought it and more. This novella was filled with action and romance. The reader is also able to see the story from various POVs to round the story out. This continuation ends in a another cliff hanger making the reader want to know what's coming next. I found the pacing to be quick and exciting. The introduction of a couple of new characters adds new possibilities and fun. If you loved Reapers then you won't be disappointed. I would recommend this book to others. Definitely read Reapers as this builds on that story-line. Cole and Rachel along with the introduction of Zack and Holly creates tension and desire.

Really liked but to short

I really like the first two books in the series. My only complaint against them was they were to short. More like Novella than novel. I thought the first was so short because it was a .99 cent teaser so I bought the second thinking it would be longer it wasn't, in fact it was shorter. Good books but the trilogy would be about right for a book.

Yes, I totally enjoyed the tale of spanking and romance!!!

What was one of the most memorable moments of The Marshal and the Heiress?

The initial get-together of these two people was very well written an memorable. Also the scene where the outlaws are abusing the heroine and her brother before they are caught by the Marshal.

What about A.K. Riverss performance did you like?

I had not heard this narrator before but found this to be a very enjoyable listening experience.

yes, and I did.

Twisted...delicious...disturbing...hot. Roll it all up and you got an "explosive" little read, there. Try it...but watch out for the corners of the book...they can bruise...
