Publisher's Summary:
Stories to touch and inspire, for and from the social-networking generation.
Once upon a time there was an online social network called Facebook, and it brought together people from all over the globe, helping them to reignite romances, launch careers, and even find organ donors. Facebook Fairytales brings to light inspirational "happy endings" stemming from the increasingly popular social-networking site. Author Emily Liebert crafts captivating narratives of real-life stories from interviews with Facebook users who have used the site's many applications to find biological parents, relay messages to loved ones during the Mumbai terrorist attacks, donate money to Chinese orphanages, and try to hunt down a hit-and-run criminal. Readers will relate to these tales and, simultaneously, be charmed by the little spark of magic that sets them apart from your everyday success stories.
Liebert also interviews and shares the story of Chris Hughes, Facebook cofounder who worked on the Obama new-media campaign, revolutionizing the use of social-networking sites as a political tool. Complete with an introductory interview with Facebook founder and CEO, Mark Zuckerberg, Facebook Fairytales is a collection of tales that will inspire you to seek out your "happily ever after" on the world's most popular social-networking site - and maybe find Prince Charming along the way.
Editorial Reviews:
What is the one website we all seem to bemoan yet can't keep from clicking? By now Facebook counts over 1.1 billion active users, and aside from all the silly photos and trivial status updates, real connections are made. In Facebook Fairytales: Modern-Day Miracles to Inspire the Human Spirit, Emily Liebert finds the inspirational and heartwarming stories amidst all the daily updates. With a warm performance by Audible mainstay Nicole Vilencia, listeners will enjoy stories of people coming together, whether it's finding organ donors or reaching loved ones during the Mumbai terrorist attacks. This audiobook also features a rare interview with Facebook's founder, Mark Zuckerberg.

Wonderful Book
This is a great book full of wonderful and inspiring stories. Great read and I highly recommend it. . .
Refreshing
After years of reading Amazon reviews I was so moved by Facebook Fairytales I felt that I needed to write my first review. I found this book to not only be exceptionally well written but inspiring and heartwarming at the same time. The author presents 25 short stories of individuals with noteworthy experiences to share, all with Facebook as the common denominator. After finishing the book I want to meet the people featured and I can't wait for a sequel!
a must read
I received this book as a gift from my niece who is a college student and thought i should know something about social networking. All I knew was that everyone seemed to be on facebook. Now i understand not only why but how powerful facebook is to enable life's changes and advances. Whether is it making connections for adoptions or advancing careers or enabling transplantation of a organ to ensure a life. I was also fully amazed at the role Facebook played in the election of Barack Obama. Emily Liebert tells these stories in a compelling voice and the imperative becomes clear.
