In Swept into Love....

It's been years since Sally Tuft's husband died and she was left to raise her teenage son alone. And almost as long since she told the only other man she'd ever wanted that they should be just friends. Now her son has left for college and Sally has no distractions to keep her from thinking about her best friend and coworker, Gage Ryder, and what could have been.

Gage always believed that one day Sally would move past the death of her husband and they would finally explore the passion that's simmered between them since the day they met. Tasked with opening a new youth center in Oak Falls, Virginia, Gage hopes the trip away is just what they need to finally come together.

Before Gage and Sally ever reach Oak Falls, one night at a conference changes everything, putting their friendship - and their love - on the line, and the two must decide if getting swept up in love is the beginning of forever, or the end of their friendship as they know it.

The Ryders are a series of sexy stand-alone romances. These hot contemporary romance novels feature alpha male heroes and sexy, empowered women. They're flawed, funny, passionate, and relatable to listeners who enjoy new adult romance, contemporary romance, and women's fiction.

A great conclusion to the Ryderâs with the perfect opening for the Montgomery series!

Swept Into Love was Melissa Fosterâs long-awaited fifth book in the Ryder series and forty first book in the Love In Bloom series. As always, it was a great addition to the series.

Gage Ryder and Sally Tuft have been a part of several books within the Love In Bloom series so weâve been building up to finally getting their story. Sally lost her husband several years ago in a skiing accident (book one, Sisters in Love) and was a single mom. Gage met her through the youth center and although the attraction was immediate, they became best friends and kept it to that level as Sally adjusted and Rusty, Sallyâs son, grew up.

We are now in book forty one, so that was quite a few years ago and Rusty was now twenty and in college. Part of me was dreading this book because they should have found their forever love together long before now and any conflict would seem over kill and unrealistic. In the end, it was mostly sweet, with a few funny moments, the main conflict being how to tell Rusty and how will he respond. However, Foster threw in a few twists in the latter half of the book to make it even more interesting.

Aside from the hot sex scenes, the first half of the book was Sally waffling and whining about telling Rusty, and that part was annoying. I personally thought after five years of deep friendship and Gage already like a father to him, Rusty could care less. That was the logical real life scenario, but youâll have to read it to see which direction Foster chose. For a side note, Iâd love to see Rusty eventually get his own story too. Hint hint....

Typical for Fosterâs style, Swept Into Love was well written and well developed with depth and dimension. Although Gage and Sally have been friends for years, it was sweet to see some of their firsts. Foster chose to write a full length novel, however, she could have accomplished this story easily in a novella. Since weâve watched them develop over the years, it moved a little slow for my liking in the beginning.

Another great Reus story

Mistletoe Me, Baby by Katie Reus

This is a continuation of the O'Connor family. This story has Nolan and Miranda Flores, who have been friends for some years. Miranda finds herself telling her parents that she is engaged and then needs to find someone to be her fiance while her parents are in town for the holidays. Nolan readily agrees to do it. Of course when the town finds out they are engaged, the fake engagement gets complicated fast. Nolan loves and is fine with that. They have a tragedy to deal with and Nolan is there for Miranda. This was a good story that I very much enjoyed. I always know I will get a story that will keep me engrossed the whole time with Katie. Sophie Eastlake is once again the narrator of Katie's book.

I just love the O'Connors

I absolutely loved this story. Yet another O'Connor who couldn't love it.

Kate and Nolan have been best friends although he has always wanted more he never let it be known.

Kate's parents are visiting and now she needs a fiancé.

Well Nolan to the rescue. Will it be all that he dreamed of?

Well grab your copy and listen. The narrator does a wonderful job and is so clear it's like the book just comes to life.

Great Book!

This is a great book; this is the fourth book in the OConnor Family Series written by Katie Reus and narrated by Sophie Eastlake. This book can be read as a standalone, but once you read it you will defiantly want to go back and catch up with the other books in this series. With the holidays fast approaching, Miranda Flores makes up a fake fiancé so her well-meaning family will get off her back. She just never expected them to suddenly show up on her doorstep a couple weeks before Christmas, wanting to spend the holidays with her. So she turns to Nolan OConnor, her sexy best friend, and asks him for the favor of a lifetime: she needs him to act the part of her fiancé until her parents leave town. This is a great book with a wonderful story and well developed characters. The story flowed very well and was very enjoyable. This book will keep you reading long into the night and you will not want to put this book down until you finish. This was such a great read and full of surprises. The narrator did a wonderful job with this book. She did a great job with the different voices of each character in this book.

Just ok!

The Narrators were not the greatest. I'll probably will not listen to a book with them again. The story line was a little slow.

HOT! HOT! HOT!

5 STARS! I was patiently waiting for this book to be released after reading "Ryder". I got hooked on books by L.A. Casey when I read "Until Harry" from there that lead me to the Slater Brothers series. This is an awesome series! The author has developed such great characters and with all the that has happened with each character it has not lost any interest for me! It was, as always, an exciting ride with these books. I don't want to give too much away if you haven't read the other books. You will want to start from the beginning. I love this family, they are there for each other through thick and thin.

I'm sad that this was a novella, but it does include the first chapter to the next book "Damien" that is between Damien and Alannah. Theirs has been interesting to see since the first book "Dominic" where Alannah was included in the kidnapping by a old boss of the boys. When they were rescued, Damien had decided to leave Ireland and go back to the states after finding out some information about an old girlfriend. Can't wait for this book to come out sometime in 2017!

Well worth the long wait we all went through!!!!

***4 STARS***

Branna was most definitely worth the wait LA Casey put us all through. She delivers another story full of laughter, love, and a family bond that you don't see in many books.

Branna and Ryder are heading off on their honeymoon to finally get some peace and quiet from their family and friends. Branna is still trying to overcome what had happened to her a couple months ago with Big Phil, and Ryder is there to help her every step of the way. They also are getting ready for another big change coming their way ;)

We also get a glimpse into Damien and Alannah's story, which is coming next in the series. LA Casey has become one of those authors that when she releases a book, I don't have to know much about it because I know it will be amazing. I'm super excited for the next book in the Slater Brother's Series and what else she as to offer.

So glad I got to read this!!

This book was a long time coming but so worth the wait. I've loved every book in this series so I knew I wouldn't regret waiting for this release. The characters are well developed and the story kept me interested from beginning to end.

I absolutely love how Ryder is with Branna. She has insecurities and mood swings and he says what needs to be said to make her feel better and means it.

I don't think so

I tried this author mostly because Erin Mallon was the narrator but even she could not perform magic with this book. Honestly I must admit I couldn't even finish.

Great story!

This audiobook had great characters, a well thought out and engaging plot and lots of emotion. I liked the character of Micah and the narrator for him was perfect. The character of Ev was also well done. She was a rather insecure character at first, but came into her own through interaction with Micah. I'm looking forward to the next book in series coming out on audiobook as well!

Harper Bliss does it again...A good story..

Really enjoyed this book ... The narrator was good but the accent was American for a story set in Australia.... At first I found this difficult but adjusted to it.... I hope more of Bliss's books will be put on the Audible platform...

Book 3

What was one of the most memorable moments of Everything Between Us?

I thoroughly enjoyed this third installment and can't wait for a fourth. Having read so many of her books, it always impresses me that Harper can write with such real emotion on a vast array of topics.

Have you listened to any of Melissa Morans other performances before? How does this one compare?

This is my first book narrated by Ms Moran. I completely enjoyed listening to this audiobook.

Book 3

Any additional comments?

The Pink Bean and everybody is in love and happy. Barista Josephine who is most of the time in her head thinking about the way she looks to other people. You have to read this wonderful story to see what happens when she meets her idol Caitlin James and asks her to sign her books.

Not so hot....

Horribly boring and couldnt even get thru the book. I dont see what the point was nor the story line.

Keep this narrator

I'm very picky about the narrators, but this one I truly enjoyed. The story is good too, with more depth than I expected.

Decent Anthology

I love the timeless romance anthology series and that they choose a new theme each time, however in this anthology it became more than clear that some of the authors had to really try hard to make their contribution fit the suspense category. For that reason this anthology fell flat.

Publisher's Summary:

From New York Times Best seller Alessandra Torre...

Everyone in Nashville knows Nathan Dumont.

Four years ago, his fiancée disappeared.

Last night, he proposed to me.

I'd wanted to escape my life, the seedy strip club, and the mountain of bills. I had seized the opportunity to live in a mansion, fill my days with country clubs and caviar, my nights with romance and sex.

Maybe I should have done my homework first.

Members Reviews:

Outstanding Story & Performance

Trophy Wife is an excellent story from Alessandra Torre with all of it's twist and turns it keeps you interested. Will M. Watt and Aria Collins performance are top notch!

Alessandra is a master at combining mystery with a love story.

I couldn't figure this one out until the secret was revealed and it did not disappoint. I love the mystery and I like how it didn't get dragged out too long. The story progressed at a nice pace. If you like mystery and a love story with a side of steamy hot, mixed in one story- you won't be disappointed with this one.

Surprisingly Good book!

I am surprised at how I loved this book by the end of it! Listening through the obstacles that I really would not enjoy in a book to discover that not everything is white and black but beyond mistakes in life there can be happiness going from forgiving those mistakes even if they are unethical mistakes. This book hit close to real life for me and as hard as it was to listen, I enjoyed how it unfolded! Recommended book!

Great narration failed to connect with characters

I will start by saying that the narration by Aria & Will is perfection. it felt they really carried the emotional content of the story and it felt very engaging. That being said my particular disconnect with the story is more character based. I have read other books with this type of trope (marriage of convenience) but this particular one just felt like the characters had very little redeeming qualities so it made my connection to them a bit difficult. This is my second audio from this author and i think this might be a thing with her writing. The storyline is good but I just seem to be at a disconnect with the characters.

Lots of sizzle...

I'm hovering at a 3-3.5 for this and perhaps it's because my expectations were not in the right place?

This is my second Alessandra Torre book (Love in Lingerie was my first) and while I enjoyed it, something was missing - I think I may need more time to process my thoughts so that I can properly articulate them.

Maybe the mild ambivalence (and slight disdain) I feel are due to the Audible version (I flipped back and forth between listening and reading) - while I enjoyed the "in duet" style of narration, and the female voice actress did a fine job, the mishmash of accents (and inconsistencies of them) from the male voice actor left something to be desired. I couldn't figure out if the male characters were southern or Irish. It was also a bit jarring to go from first person pov for Candy/Candace to 3rd person for Nathan. It just threw me a bit.

Other than that it was an entertaining story - full of exponentially more sexy times than Love in Lingerie (which was more of a slow burn) and showcased Alessandra Torre's talent as a writer. I just wasn't able to emotionally connect to the characters or story as much as I would've liked.

Love isn't a game....

I've given up everything for the chance to play major league baseball. Everything. Now I'm so close I can practically hear the crowd chanting my name. There's nothing that could take my dream away from me.

Unless I lose focus. And Ainsley Burke is the most beautiful, distracting woman I've ever met. When I'm with her, I can't think of anything else.

But no matter how much I want Ainsley, there's no room for love in my game plan. I can give her a quick tour of the bases, but that's it. Then I have to let her go. If she wants to think I'm a love 'em and leave 'em player, fine.

All dreams require sacrifice. I just wish this one didn't mean tearing out my own heart.

Members Reviews:

A Home Run! I love Cooper!!

I love a good sports romance and what really impressed me with this one was how much of the knowledge of the game was on display, it was very entertaining to me! Heidi sure knows baseball and it was very insightful and well explained. And of course she knows how to write another book boyfriend I am in love with! Oh Cooper, Cooper, Cooper, the sweet way you tried to get a date with Ainsley was smooth! But with Cooper needing to concentrate on his rookie year and the demands of it all and from his father, and Ainsley needing to concentrate on taking care of her mom who always warns her against dating athletes, will these two make time for their growing feelings? You couldn't help but root for these two. I also loved bestie Stella and the ever entertaining Travis Kidd. He provided a lot of laughs and one liners amongst some emotional moments that tugged at my heart and made me shed some tears. I am loving this series and I can't wait for more!

Beautiful Sports Love Story

Home Run is an emotional, sexy, funny and beautiful story that hit me in unexpected ways. One minute I was laughing and the next, reaching for tissues because I was bawling my eyes out. Cooper is a rookie baseball player who was just called up to the major leagues. While he is confident in his abilities, he's a pretty humble guy and isn't like most cocky athletes who use their fame to sleep around and garner perks everywhere. He's more of the awkward, shy guy and that translates into a character who is multi-dimensional. Ainsley has a heart of gold and is dealing with some very heavy emotional situations at home. When she takes a chance on Cooper, their relationship heats up and the sparks fly. Together, they have so much chemistry and truly are perfect for one another. Their relationship is far from roses and sunshine though. There is plenty of conflict and some major curveballs (natch) which the reader won't see coming but a beautiful ending that will make readers swoon is the payoff and it's totally worth it!

While this book is part of a series, it can definitely be read as a standalone. I did not read Third Base (Book 1) but plan to do so now since there are many secondary characters in Home Run that are standouts and I need to read more about them! These characters helped round out the story and give it even more character. Home Run includes the perfect amount of baseball for those who love the sport but for those who don't, it's not overwhelming---it's easy to understand and follow along.
