Good...as usual

I'm a Selena Kitt fan. Though I don't like all of her narrators, not the nasally female she uses frequently. Similarly, the English accent of this narrator didn't work as well for me. But the story was good and the sex as hot and erotic as usual. The erotic language was somewhat different. I imagine this was due to the story being based outside the U.S. Finally, I'll add that I really enjoyed the humor added to this story. I don't ever recall finding parts of Ms. Kitt's stories humorous. I hope that more of her stories will add the element of humor in the future.

Very Naughty Indeed!

If you like the taboo, you'll love this story of sibling temptation gone too far. Dawn is irresistible and she's determined to seduce her younger brother. The results are wicked and, I have to admit, really really hot. Selena Kitt does taboo like no one else. This listen is very naughty indeed!

Awful narrator!

I like books by Selena Kitt and this one is okay, except that the narrator sounds like he is from New Jersey and faking a cockney accent. Also this book must be directed at the British market since there are a plethora of British-isms- "knackered, arse, ta". Not her best, at least for an American listener.

Sean Crisden is not a bad narrator just cannot do an English accent! Worst accents since Dick Van Dyke did Mary Poppins, especially Dawn and Julie. Main character sounds like a Bostonian (sorry Boston) with a sinus problem!. In addition not sure why rural Surrey characters have an East End cockney accent; if Ms Kitt hasn't got sign off on narration she should. However if you listen through the accents et al this is a very naughty story with lots of juicy bits.

Amber Beard delivers in this reading. Her voice drips sex and at those times where emphasis is wanted, she raises her performance, adding a sigh here or a slight moan there, to emphasize the heat falling off the pages in this work.

I have listened to this one at least four times. I try to do it all in one sitting, but I end up having to stop and walk away from it.

Selena Kitt never fails to deliver the heat. It's rude, it's dirty and so well written one dip in her pool is not going to be enough.

You won't be wasting your point on this one

If you could sum up Where the Girls Are in three words, what would they be?

Excellent anthology of this genre. Very different stories in different cities, with very unique circumstances. The writers were wonderful and the narrator did a fine job.

Who was your favorite character and why?

Since it was an anthology you can't say characters but you can say which stories. There are 20 stories in this anthology, none were bad. But I'll title some of my favorites, The Critic, Electricity, Don't F**K with a Country Girl. Come to My Window, Just One Night, The City Pony, On Display, Hot Child in the City. These are the titles I remember but the whole collection was fantastic.

What about Alexandria Wildes performance did you like?

Alexandria Wilde was wonderful, she pulled off all these stories with different personalities, emotions and voices beautifully. I don't think anyone will disagree.

Did you have an extreme reaction to this book? Did it make you laugh or cry?

One story really had a twist that surprised me I won't give it away, because it was that good.

This was an excellent anthology of Lesbian Erotica, and well worth the cost. I've gotten some real horrible books in this genre, mostly the narrations were totally unprofessional. It's happened at least 8 times and I requested refunds because I couldn't finish the books. I'm not ashamed to tell audible that the narrator on a book is really sub-par. (especially in any erotic genre) This was a great collection.

Same old

I personally didn't find a how lot of variety in this collection they felt like the same story over and over , the story's them self's are fine and dandy but to much alike for my taste .

Good collection of erotica

Now, downright erotica without other plot isn't really my style but I still enjoyed this collection of short stories. I like how different they could be the variety. Some I enjoyed more than others naturally but they all felt well written.

I really liked the narrator as well and though she did a great job.

I was disappointed with this short story, it wasn't as good as a previous one that I had read, and was very, very short.

What am I missing?

What's up with gun? It was stupid and didn't need to be part of the story at all. It was hard to keep track of the dialogue as well, I couldn't figure out at first who was talking. The author needs to find another to describe a male besides "meaty", that was used too much in such a short story.

Where better to begin a lesbian relationship that eventually drifts into intense BDSM territory than a university library in Los Angeles. Graduate student Cassie becomes infatuated with a fellow library regular nearly to the level of becoming a stalker before screwing up the courage to approach the object of her lust. Fortunately, the stars are aligned in a favorable configuration and the bold step by the normally shy academic results in a passionate and sexually satisfying romance with Peach. And so begins Lizbeth Dusseauâs somewhat edgy erotic novella Pagan Dreams.

On the surface, aside from the Sapphic nature of their couplings, there is nothing particularly unusual about their sex lives. However, each woman has secret D/s demons that stem from prior relationships, which, of course, they have not divulged to the other. Their kinky pasts come to light during an extended summer trip along the northern California coast. An encounter with some aggressive biker babes at a remote dyke bar sets the stage, but things escalate significantly when they arrive at a B&B that caters exclusively to lesbians with a taste for pagan passions blended with S&M - The Edge is a place where Peach has some history.

The kinky scenarios depicted during the course of their respective dalliances are exceptionally well written and erotic, providing you enjoy that particular brand of naughtiness, which I do. The overall storyline is entertaining but not exceptional. For the most part it is a slice of life tale with lots of kinkiness but no definitive denouement.

Terrible

The writing was graphic and unpleasant. It was written more for men, which I imagine was fine, but as a woman reader it was just icky and gross. I love sex scenes as any man, but give me something besides details such as ten inch dick or moaned obscenely.

I haven't seen the print version, but I suspect so. I LOVE the narrator and imagine that Mitch would sound just like him - in an American sort of way.

A great mystery, and goes so much further

On the heels of The Back Door, be prepared. This is a convoluted mystery, and an introduction to a really dark aspect of M/M lives and vulnerability in a recent historic period. Not to say it couldn't happen today.

The story is compelling. The narration is perfect. How do I say it? The story isn't what I wanted for Mitch, but I have to go along with it. I really hope his next story is not as dark.

An Absolute Favorite!

ummm... INCEST?!?

OK... a few of the stories in here are actually pretty hot, albeit unrealistic in their 'execution' due to the physical limits of the human body -- probably because these were written by a guy. But, many of these stories are literally about incest. I'm sorry, but I don't find a story about a woman who basically molests her adopted 18-year-old son to be enticing... AT ALL. That's just gross.
