Story Continues

J.S. Cooper links this trilogy with the Ex-Game trilogy. This short story starts with Meg, Katie's best friend, applying for a bartender job at the "Private Club". During the interview, Meg was asked to remove her clothes. Meg was offended and refused, Meg thinks the employer is Katie's boyfriend, Brandon Hastings, until Greyson Twining received a phone call telling Grayson not to hire Meg.

Meg was hired, for an unknown position but was concerned who Brandon was to Greyson and possibly his company.

Meg's probation started with several tasks. The task is a series of ten different tasks where Meg has no idea what job she will have at the end. During the tasks, Greyson is present to help her (or distract her).

On her third task, she overhears a conversation outside the door that a woman is in the Private Club asking too many questions. A security guard (David) pushed his way into Meg's room. He wanted Meg to get Greyson to admit he trafficking the girls who come to the Private Club.

Loved the book, not the voice

I am a huge fan of Tessa Bailey and I loved this book! Sweet story with suspenseful moments. I was not a fan of the narrator. Narrator's voice was older, extremely nasal, and she seemed to run out of breath. I feel bad for Tessa because the narrator didn't do her book justice.

I really enjoyed the story, the characters of Troy and Ruby and the camaraderie between Troy and his fellow police officers.

It's a great addition to the Line of Duty series.

This was my first audiobook by Alice Chapman. Although at times it sounded a bit like she was talking through clenched teeth, I got used to her voice and I liked the distinction between the male and female characters.

I'm looking forward to listening to more of Alice's narrations of Tessa's books.

Bi-sex males are a woman. Romance Novel?!?!?

h had relationship with Patrick from age 17-20, she then left suddenly and is gone for over 10 years. She comes back thinking to take over her father's veterinary practice but he changed his mind. She chooses to have a sex escapade with Patrick and Sim. They also invited two old military buddies to join them. So very romantic!

She then after 24 hours decides to stay there with them and in epilogue asked them to marry her. How that works you got me?

This was very short and not sweet. I have no problem with GLBT people, in fact I support their rights. However I'm upset when the author doesn't disclose these things in the synopsis. I have no interest in reading guy on guy plus girl, other might and that's great but not my cup of tea. People should be informed so they can decide if it's for them.

Adam really grew on me!

What made the experience of listening to Adam's Apple the most enjoyable?

The narrator. Christian Fox did an excellent job emoting and gave each character a distinct voice and personality.

Adam because I liked being in his head and his overall frankness.

He was great voicing both men and women, and he very effectively kept me looking forward to my next listening opportunity.

I've been collecting this author's novels in e-book format since I met her at the Authors Under the Lights book signing back in March 2015. Originally, I wasn't sure if this contemporary romance series would be my cup of tea. I had a book buddy who really loved it, so I decided to make it my first one of Liv's novels once I had collected the audiobook format as well. I started Adam's Fall (Touch of Tantra #2) via audiobook as soon as I finished Adam's Apple. Even though the ending didn't end on a true cliffhanger, I was eager to see how Adam and Kathryn moved on from Simon's actions.

2.5 Stars~

What did you like best about Adam's Apple? What did you like least?

Though I struggled to get through this book, putting it aside several times the one thing I can say I did like about it was the tantra scene when Adam lets go.

Pretty Woman Meets 50 Shades - Smokin' Hot!

What did you like about this audiobook?

Normandie Alleman is a new author I've discovered and I love her work. I've read all her books and was thrilled to find this one on audio. She has a quirky, unique style all her own and I love her sexy lite-BDSM scenes. They're always creative and sizzling hot.

How has the book increased your interest in the subject matter?

I thought the Daddy/little girl relationship was sweet and showed a more tender, caring style of BDSM than I usually find. Definitely a must-read and I can't wait for the next book in this series.

What did you find wrong about the narrator's performance?

The narrator was excellent and in one scene she even performed the voices of seven women and she did it brilliantly!

A little bit of sweet and a whole lot of spicy, the story was beautifully unique and I was enchanted by the narrator's voice. I'm glad I took the chance to listen to this on audio.

Stellar Performance

I had read both the Ice Queen and Mirror of My Soul by Joey W. Hill and was entranced by the author's talent for weaving words into intricate designs to bring her characters to life. She has a wonderful grasp of the English language and is a master of her craft. I enjoyed both books so much that I decided to listen to the audible. Maxine Mitchell brought the author's tapestries of words into vivid color and 3D. Her characterizations were spot on and her narration was riveting. She brought the artistry of the word to life. These two are definitely worth your time and credit. Do yourself a favor and enter their world.

One of the best books ever!

Wow! This is one of my favorite books. I found myself smiling, laughing out loud, holding my breath, tearing up and two parts gave me goose bumps (a first for me) from the coincidence and beauty of this story. Very well written and narrated. Clear your whole day because you won't be able to stop listening!

I have now listened to three of her books and first off I will say you don't have to be into it but you have to have an open mind concerning BDSM, there is a plot to each of the stories although know that Ice Queen and Mirror of My Soul should have been one book and need to be purchased together. Awesome series... just get them all.

I read all three books in this series over the weekend and couldn't put them down.

This is definately a fantasy (like most)... middle-class, unknown girl meets rich billionaire, hot, guy.... but then, a really cool story.

Overall a this is a story about some self-discovery, mending of fences, and facing the unknown. The sex was hot and it didn't feel like you were reading the same events over an over.

It was a very easy read, and I recommend the entire series highly.

Good enough to buy it

I enjoyed the Part 1. The author left it hanging enough that I took "took the bait" and purchased Part 2. Raina's character is believable and unlike most these Billionaire/Millionaire men in these stories Tristan's character is believable and likable. In fact, I bought Part 3 and am still enjoying the story.

Love it!

I got this series by downloaded the first book, "Knowing His Secret", which started out a little slow but I'm addicted now. I love Tristian & can't wait to see where the story goes next. The romance continues to get steamy in each book, but so does the development of what made Tristan the man he has become. KC leaves us hanging at the end of this book, but I think Rains is going to find out how much of an impact she has had on Tristan.
