When hate kills

This book was emotionally powerful and charged for me. I don't want to go into the plot much...others have done so already. The story is not perfect in every way, there are some situations that are a stretch, yet it seemed so real for me. Watching the two boys fall in love and watching as their world falls apart for the sole reason of the hate and unacceptance of others. When I was in high school I watched this happen to a good friend, which is why the ending tore at me so much. One commenter said this was not a good example for gay youth. I disagree. It shows what could have been if they had held on just a little longer. But in their situation, perhaps they felt they had held out long enough. Not many books bring tears to my eyes, but this was one of them. This book I will definitely read again and I would recommend it.

utter sadness.

This book made me cry more than any book I read before, the thought that anyone could go through what Mark and Taylor went through broke my heart.

To be in love is a beautiful thing it's magical and sweet and yes sometimes sad, but to be hated for loving someone to care for someone for that to be a bad thing to someone else to the point they lash out at you hate you and try to destroy you is beyond my imagination. though this book mad me very sad and even a filling of hopelessness being gay myself it help me to remember what gay kids do go through in this world, I never went through this in high school I had a beautiful boyfriend and I loved him but we never had this kind of harassment my heart goes out to all the kids in school who have. Mark Roeder helps us to keep are eyes open and to remember what gay kids may still be going through that's why I give this book five stars.

I'm addicted to all of Mark Roeder's books. His writing is fantastic, and once I pick up any of his books I can't stop reading them. I'm only getting 5 hours of sleep per night because of it. I've now spent hundreds of dollars just to get the next book in his stories... I can't get enough. This book is fantastic and extremely sad at the same time. Though tells a good morale. I did cry a few times while reading it.

when you fall in love so bad

The story of Mark and Taylor will always emboss in the bottom of my heart!!

The first book I read from Roeder was "Someone is Watching" instead of Ethan and Nathan I was more addicted to Mark and Taylor by the time I was reading it, but now the passion is growing even bigger! The more I read, "The soccer flied is empty" the more I love Mark and Taylor.

First, loving someone is really hard, and being love with the person you dream about is even harder, reading about Mark and Taylor give me hopes that there is really true love in this world. The way they acted between themselves, the way the look upon others... is just more than everything in the world.

Another excellent story by Natalie.

I loved it. This was a romance pure sang. Two very nasty men, an insecure woman and a beautiful captain. Characters that are very well described. And we have Charity, totally unprepared on a trip with a small boat but she is the woman who brings a smile on your face. The island is enchanting and the love is awesome. Another excellent story and it's set on an island where you may drop me right away. I can heartily recommend it.

This was exactly what I was looking for...

This was exactly what I was looking for when I purchased it...an enjoyable, easy to read, lesbian love story with a couple of steamy sex scenes thrown in for good measure. It was engaging, the characters were easy to relate to, and the erotic portions of it were handled expertly. The sex is not trashy, or vulgar in any way, but rather artfully rendered. I look forward to reading more from this author, it was a great introduction to her work.

Two Thnumbs Up

A wonderful book, but I felt that some points in the story could have been developed a little more. A bit predictable at some points but still had a few pleasant surprises. Overall a good investment and a very nice story.

My favorite in the series!

This is definitely a stand alone book, though it is part of the series, you dont need to read all the books or in order.

Bryan is a musician and photographer whose life got too hectic. He had a scare that forced him to reevaluate his life choices and random sex got the ax. Oliver is a suburban boy who had resigned himself to a sexless marriage. When his intended ends up marrying someone she really loves, he decides a radical break from his old life is called for. When Bryan and Oliver meet the instant attraction simmers a long time before being acted upon and in the mean time a deep relationship based on friendship emerges.

What I loved about this book was the lovely slow burn romance, the wonderful characters, Olivers funny and sweet blog posts, the scorching hot smexy times, and the well crafted love story. Karen Stivali is an excellent writer and her writing flows so smoothly that the story just evolves effortlessly. I think her writing just keeps improving with each new story!

I think the way the author showed us the motivation behind Bryans decision was excellent though I would have loved to see more follow up maybe a future book? Using the blog as an entrée into Olivers life was also a fantastic tool and a great way for us to interact with him and his thoughts.

One thing I enjoy about Karens writing is the secondary characters whether they get their own stories or not theyre always fleshed out and feel integral to the story without overwhelming it. (We get to see Tanner and Collin, too!)

If I have any complaints about this story, its the predictable were never going to work out so Im leaving before the final reunion that seems to haunt so many romances. I think these two characters were so in tune with one another and so open that it felt a little out of the blue for them to part as they did right near the end.

All in all this was one of my favorite stories from this author and I highly recommend it!

Wow!

This is such a great series. Miner and En are a couple you fall in love with, but this is more than an amazing love story. It speaks to human nature. It shows the dangers that arise when a person possesses too much power, be it magical or political. And it highlights how change is necessary, when that power is used to exploit others. I am sad to see the series end. I would love to read about the adventures the couple face as they work to bring change where it's needed most.

Enjoyable read

Well, their journey has finally come to an end. I really like Ennek and Mine. I feel they were very well matched. They both had stengths that the other helped them see. They both had moments where they felt they weren't good enough for the other. I liked this series, because I feel this is realistic. I feel a lot of people don't give themselves enough credit and second guess themselves sometimes. It takes another person to help them see there true worth.

In this finale, Ennek and Mine are faced with wanting to change Praesidium to be more open. As they are waiting to gather support, Ennek is facing with his own 'inner' demon. Will Mine be able to figure out what is wrong with Ennek in time? Will be he be able to save him? Will they be able to change Praesidium without having people they love dying?

A good conclusion to the trilogy but not great

Wow, what a ride!

Starting with Stasis and then continuing with Flux, Kim sure has taken us on a rollercoaster ride with Ennek and Miner.

What started out as a rather sweet love story between the two male characters, quickly grew into a rather intricate and fully formed fantasy story that challenges some of my thoughts on magic and wizards. I loved the elemental aspects of the trilogy and adored the way Kim's writing flowed sweetly off the page and into my memory.

I have highlighted a number of truly stunning passages from all three books on my kindle and have them shared on my GR profile (if you're interested you can check them out in my quotes section). Kim's talent at writing gay romance is one to rival even the biggest names. So far, my experience of her writing shows she understands the relationships, both emotionally and physically and yet, is able to explore them without graphic details.

If you're new to the m/m romance genre perhaps a sweet, loving trek with Miner and Ennek is the gentle awakening to it that you need.

I felt a little sad to be reading the last pages of this book. It's the end of our journey with the boys (Kim explains in the notes at the end of the book), I had always hoped that there would be more.

the developing story becomes more interesting as it moves forward. A good listen and I'm hoping there will be a third soon. Specially like the bob cat shifter - he is funny and a great character

Great story with cats dogs bears...

The main characters, a laid back bobcat with long blond braids (the cover is totally wrong, ignore it) and his mate are adorable. Good storyline.

Narrator has a lovely voice, but he only has one voice and every character, male female, young or old all sound the same.

Live for Love

Live for Love is Book 5 in the All Cocks Stories by TM Smith. This is a series that absolutely, must be read in the appropriate order. This series involves A LOT of reoccurring characters and storylines and I couldn't imagine trying to just jump into the series in this book. I've read all the books in this series, and have listened to all the ones available in audio. Both versions are fantastic, so regardless of which medium you like, you should give this series a chance!

I couldn't wait for Beau and William's story after reading book 4. They had chemistry that burned the pages, and I knew there was a reason for Beau's reluctance to give into the attraction. And just like every other book in the series, there's a heartbreaking story to go with Beau. But Beau is a strong, loving, caring man and he finally accepts whats between he and William.

William is a man who knows what he wants. From the first moment he sees Beau, he wants him. And hes no holds barred, all in. William gets a little more than he expected when Beau finally shares while he held back but William already loves Beau and like with everything else, William just accepts it and educates himself.

And like every story in the series we have all the supporting characters and their stories being woven with Beau and Williams story. Sometimes its almost overwhelming the number of characters in this series and how they continue to grow.

Great Halloween Listen!

Anne Tenino is one of those authors that can be hit or miss for me. I dont like the BDSMy aspect of some of her stories so that can put me off. This, however is not like anything by her, that Ive read. It wasnt BDSMy but it wasnt her usual writing style either.

There are aspects of this that totally worked: its creative and unique with a ton of potential. Maybe its length keeps it from being MORE but there were times when I was racing along on the track then wed take a left and Id be scratching my head wondering which way did he go?

Mostly, I was confused by everyones motivations and felt they were a bit contradictory at times, but I dont really want to spoil anything by being specific. There are also a lot of characters introduced and if this were the beginning to a series thatd make sense however Im not sure thats the case. What were left with is a bunch of really interesting characters and not much idea as to their purpose.

In a short story every word is vital, so I tend to really look for sharp editing to make the story pop. Im not sure this got the editing it deserved.

I was very compelled by the premise and would love to see more from this world and maybe a sequel or follow up to the MCs themselves because it does seem fascinating.

I give this 3.75 of 5 stars because it was funny and sweet and I really liked the idea, but it didnt quite live up to my expectations of what this author can do.

Nick J Russo is the main reason I picked this up. I absolutely love listening to him and he can entertain me effortlessly so I knew hed do a great job of bringing this to life.

Hes great with timing and has a very erotic voice that suited these characters perfectly.

I would definitely recommend this overall- I think it was a great listen and though the story wasnt perfect it was fun and a wonderful fit for the season!

Good, but...

Loved the narration, but probably the first time I have thought that a story could be shorter. Basically all the important stuff happened at the start and ending, leaving the middle kinda dull and boring where they just were at the bar waiting to finde Zeus, who for the record only was a backstory to why all the imortals ended up at the bar to begin with. No battles or confrontations at all.
