The Schenectady Gazette printed a smear campaign on May 11 that outright lied to the public about the pro-crime failing bail reform and the people who spoke out against it in Albany on May 9 as we honored mothers of crime victims and gave them a voice.

Journalism should be regarded as an honorable profession and this display of journalistic malpractice on part of the Gazette Editorial Board is an embarrassment to real journalism.

If you couldn't join us for the Mother's Day gathering, we welcome you to take time to listen to the speakers who shared from their hearts, who shared from a place or loss, of pain and of purpose; our state is in dire straits and it will be WE the people who demand policy be in favor of a compassionate social conscience and away from the reckless perversion that Albany lawmakers have created. The horrifically failing justice system and bail reform, the lack of direction in combating the addiction epidemic, the gross abuse and neglect of our elder and infirm population, the abuse of our children and abdication of duty in providing educational opportunities and accountability for all, as well as the outright contempt shown to working class families, property owners and business owners by reckless, baseless, inane and irresponsible policies.

The moms are here and we aren't backing down. 

A quick call to action as the time is now to take back our state from the horrible, cruel, dysfunctional, degenerate leadership of the Cuomo administration. When your kids ask what you want for Mother's Day....."I want to go to Albany with all of you." Concerns we will be addressing are the Nursing Home-icide disaster, the failed bail reform that is terrorizing our communities-particularly but not limited to downstate, inaccessibility of families to see loved ones in residential care settings, medical mandates and disastrous school closures that have far reaching societal impacts.
