"Now when they saw the boldness of Peter and John, and perceived that they were uneducated, common men, they were astonished. And they recognized that they had been with Jesus." - Acts 4:13.

Did you catch that last phrase? Apparently what stirred the hearts of the apostles to boldly point people to Jesus was their proximity to Jesus. Last week, we spent time exploring the beauty and power of "fellowship with God." This week, we are concluding our series by unpacking the unavoidable transformation that will occur in us and around us as we continue to walk with God in this coming year. To put it plainly, we're gonna need to order more chairs at DOXA.

Have you ever had a relationship go sideways because of a lack of communication? I'm sure most of us have experienced this at some point. Quite frankly, this is perhaps why it could be said that the subject of this week's message, discovering how to talk with God, may actually be the centerpiece of our entire series so far. But, it's important to realize that "talking with God" is not actually the ultimate aim of this week's message. Rather, "talking with God" opens the door for us to enjoy the greatest of all the gifts God has ever given to humanity. Namely, the gift of a genuine and sincere fellowship with God, Himself. So this Sunday we are not just going to discover how to talk with God, but how to have real fellowship with God. The fruit of which is simply unparalleled.

Worship - What is it really? Is it something we do in private or public? Do we worship when we gather, or is it something we do when we scatter? Is it an event on the weekend with guitars and a drum kit? Or is worship a secret, private experience filled with euphoric mysticism? There are many definitions of what biblical worship is, but at its core, true biblical worship is treasuring and valuing God above all things. Which means worship is more than an event to experience, rather it's a lifestyle to enjoy.

This week as we continue in our series, How To..., we are going to specifically look into Scripture so that we can discover how to enjoy the life God has designed for us. Namely, a worshipful life of fulfillment.
