Here’s the great news this holiday season. Jesus’ love is available to you today and is no more clearly visible than through the Cross. Jesus came because of His love for you to deal with the barrier that each of us have between us and God, namely sin. Jesus came to live without sin and die for sin on the Cross, so that He could be a substitute for you. Jesus’ death is more than enough to bring you to God. He’s work on the Cross is a free gift that He extends to you today. Will you receive Him by faith and give Jesus your sin?

In Ephesians 3:7-13, Paul adds the Gospel application that the grace of God in your life ought to compel you to bring God's grace to others. Therefore, we would do well to put our faith to good use. As we look at Paul's life as a servant of the Gospel of Jesus Christ, we can glean important insights into our lives as followers of Jesus Christ who are seeking to bring God's grace to others.

In Ephesians 3:1-6, Paul looks at what the Gospel achieves for us as Gentiles. Does your life show people that Jesus is worth living for? Have you come to know and see and savor the Gospel in your own life? When everything else pales in comparison to the Gospel, then you know you're understanding the fullness of the Gospel.

In Ephesians 2:19-22, Paul describes our new reality and identity as believers in Jesus Christ. Together, we are being built together into a dwelling place for God by the Holy Spirit.

In Ephesians 2:11-18, Paul describes the hostile relationship between the Jews and Gentiles. This was a hostility brought about by years of misguided superiority by the Jews and a prideful heart from the Gentiles who were strangers to the presence of God and covenants of promise. In Christ, God creates a new access point to Him. Not through the Mosaic law, but through Jesus' death and resurrection. As a result, enemies in Christ can be reconciled to God and one another.

Ephesians 2:8-10 is a beautiful explanation of the Gospel. 

"For by grace, you have been saved through faith. And this is not your own doing, it is the gift of God; not a result of works, so that no one may boast. For we are His workmanship, created in Christ Jesus for good works, which God prepared beforehand, that we should walk in them."

In Ephesians 2:1-7, Paul reminds the Christian of his situation before becoming a Christian. It was a hopeless, helpless situation with no remedy. As a result of sin, we have violated the standard of God's holiness and separated ourselves from God. With no hope of ever being reconciled in and of ourselves, God stepped in to rescue us by sending Jesus to live a perfect life, die on the Cross for our sin, and rise for our salvation.
