This week’s guest is Chris McNulty, award winning jazz legend, vocalist, composer, author and educator, recently returned to Melbourne after a 30 year sojourn in New York . Filling Gillian’s shoes is David Moyle, Silverfox Sound Engineer and presenter of Bent Notes, who talks with Chris about her musical influences, getting started in Melbourne, early days in New York, the tragic loss of her son, Sam (hip hop singer Chap One) and her book Vocalist as Complete Musician, due for international release in August. We hear Chris’ amazing voice singing the old classic Jitterbug Waltz, the first song she ever wrote Letter to Marta and a track she recorded with Chap One, For the Soul.
