In this Leveling Up episode of the PRS Global Open Deep Cuts Podcast, Dr. Ahmad Saad discusses his journey from Beirut to Barcelona, the development of particular approach to high definition liposculpture, his recommendations for surgeons starting surgeons HD, the differences between using VASER and power assisted liposuction, his criteria for indicating patients for hi def lipo, how he counsels his patients preoperatively to help choose the appropriate level of definition, perioperative technical details such as preoperative markings, tumescent, cannula types, postoperative garment wear and lymphatic massage, his use of energy based devices as part of high def lipo, how he has subtly modified his technique over the years, how he teaches his residents the ins and outs of liposuction, and the one thing he teaches his residents to make the final incision look as good as possible.

Dr. Ahmed Saad is a board-certified plastic surgeon and medical director of the IMAGN institute in Barcelona, Spain. He studied medicine at the American University of Beirut in Lebanon, trained in general surgery at Yale University, and then completed a plastic surgery fellowship at University of California San Diego. After spending some time as an assistant professor at UCSD and at Faces Plus with Dr. Steve Cohen in San Diego, he moved to Barcelona where he founded the IMAGN institute. He is a pioneer of the high definition liposculpture technique and has written several manuscripts and book chapters about it. He trains residents from all over Europe at his practice in Barcelona.
