मनुष्य के चित्त की दो दशा होती है, आसक्ति और विरक्ति। किसी खास चीज की तरफ अपनी पूरी ऊर्जा लगा देना, उसे पागलों की तरह चाहना, आसक्ति है पर किसी से घोर विकर्षण हो जाना, दूर हो जाना, विरक्ति है। एक और दशा होती है, अनासक्ति की। अद्भुत दशा है ये जो आसक्ति और विरक्ति दोनों के पार है। गीता में भी भगवान श्री कृष्ण ने अर्जुन को अनासक्त होकर कर्म करने का उपदेश दिया। क्या होती है अनासक्ति और अनासक्त होकर कर्म कैसे किया जाता है।

शांति कैसे प्राप्त करें?

कभी कभी मनुष्य जीवन में सब कुछ पा लेता है पर उस एक चीज से वंचित रह जाता है जो अगर न रहे तो जीवन में  बेचैनी भर जाती है। वो चीज है शांति। अक्सर जीवन में अशांति का बड़ा कारण व्यक्ति के मन का भटकाव होता है। कई बार न चाहते हुए भी अशांति बाहर से भीतर मन में प्रवेश कर जाती है। मन की व्यापकता जिसे 'चित्त' कहते हैं ये इच्छाओं के जाल में फस जाता है और वस्तुएं इकट्ठी करने लग जाता है पर उससे भी कुछ खास हासिल नहीं होता। आपका मन शांत होना चाहिए। भगवान् श्री कृष्ण ने गीता में बताया है कि अलग अलग दिशाओं में भागता हुआ मन कभी शांति प्राप्त नहीं करेगा तो कैसे मिलेगी शांति?

How to attain peace of mind?

Sometimes a person attains virtually everything in life, but is deprived of that one thing without which there cannot be easiness in life- that particular thing is peace of mind. Often the major reason behind unrest is the disorientation of a person's mind. Many times, unintentionally, unrest enters the mind from the outside world. The pervasiveness of the mind, which is called 'chit', gets entangled in the web of desires. It starts accumulating materials, but nothing much is achieved even from that. Understand that your mind should be calm. Lord Shri Krishna states in the Gita that the mind running in different directions will never attain peace, so how will it attain peace?

जीवन द्वन्द का ही दूसरा नाम है। दिन है तो रात भी है, गर्मी है तो सर्दी भी है, सुख के साथ दुःख भी है। गहराई से देखेंगे तो पाएंगे कि जीवन को गति देने के लिए द्वन्द आवश्यक है। आप सिर्फ एक का चुनाव नहीं कर सकते पर अपने मन को ऐसा बना सकते हैं कि इन द्वंदों का आपके जीवन पर नकारात्मक प्रभाव ना पड़े और योगी इसी का अभ्यास करते हैं। वो द्वन्द के पार जाते हैं, जहाँ ब्रह्म है, परमात्मा है और आनंद की अवस्था है पर सवाल है कि द्वन्द के पार जाने का और हमेशा आनंद की अवस्था में रहने का तरीका क्या है?
