Today’s episode is with the founders of Ignite Biomedical, Claudio Faria & Jake Nichols. These two men are career pharmacists and MBAs who have been involved in nearly every aspect of the trade - clinical practice, academia, and industry. Both with different specialties, they were united by a common mission that will change healthcare forever. In 2022 they founded Ignite, a company that invests in the discovery of algorithmic biomarkers through the utilization of Evolutionary Computation via Emerge® – the only quantitative artificial intelligence platform in Biopharma proprietary to their Joint Venture partner Liquid Biosciences. This technology will de-risk development candidates, give drug companies a more accurate representation of the market and deliver true value based care.
During the episode we talk about the state of healthcare and how we need massive changes in philosophy and approach to start advancing science. We get into the challenges of treatment non-response and how a 4 % success rate in any other industry would be unacceptable. They thoroughly explain how the tests they are developing have the potential to change medicine forever starting with inflammatory bowel disease, which they have already received analytical validation for. They further explain how the potential for this new approach is extremely vast and will open up doors for other discoveries.
Nothing gets me more excited than to see the potential for real change in our world. These guys are bringing it.

Never one to be limited by what society told her she could accomplish, Dr. Hazan has been at the forefront of gastro research and is one of the foremost experts in the world on the microbiome.
Her science is sound but often pushes back against the main stream narrative. During covid, she showed that the virus and vaccine caused a depletion of our bifidobacteria, which warranted further study. Additionally, she had the GUTSTOTREAT and took the sickest people amongst us and got them out alive. Every Single Patient.
During the episode we discuss how she is still dealing with nefarious forces, like investment firms that back journals to ensure that they can control the narrative about which treatments work. She tells me how physicians no longer want to peer review articles because they are unpaid and not listened to. And we discuss her research around fecal transplant and it's potential for Parkinson's, Alzheimer's, and autism.
We should be listening to smart people like Dr. Hazan who have dedicated their life to doing what's right. SOME DAY WE WILL BE THE PATIENT and we better hope that the treatments have been developed to give us more time.
Let's talk some shit, Giddy up!

Today's episode is with Sara Curry. Sara is an OG Vermonter with a degree in sustainable agriculture who set out to change the world by any means necessary. After sporting injuries left her in pain she turned to yoga and eventually was called to open her own studio to help others. This was the beginnings of Blaze Yoga and Fitness, which, like its name, has evolved over time. Sara is a founding member of the Original Hot Yoga Association and is active in promoting the practice in our community through different organizations.
During the episode we talk about how she took a chance on something that she was very passionate about and learned to grow a business around. We discuss how her evolution as a science backed yoga teacher helped her to grow her studio into a dynamic space where people come to unwind, heal and thrive. She tells me how after 22 years of owning her studio and previously being indifferent, she has started to offer teacher trainings where she strives to help people become "thinking instructors". We also get into other healing tools that people can use to get themselves out of the muck.
Honestly guys, Sara, her husband Jaylon and their team helped to change my life. She practices what she preaches and gives you practical ways to bring awareness to and heal your own body.
And that's a Giddy up!
