Do you have a health condition or disease that’s affecting your life and struggle to improve your health? Have you heard of plasmalogens and the amazing benefits they can have on your brain and heart?
For this week’s episode of the Reawaken Your Health podcast, I interviewed Dr. Goodenowe to discuss how plasmalogens are helping those with neurodegenerative diseases boost their brain health. Dr. Goodenowe is a PhD neuroscientist, biochemist, synthetic organic chemist, inventor, and clinical research expert who uses spectrometry technology to study the biochemistry of human blood.
As a research scientist, Dr. Goodenowe became interested in restoring human health instead of fixing symptoms. He discussed his desire to find ways to detect changes in human blood before the onset of a disease so changes to lifestyle could be made earlier to ward off disease development.
We explored how plasmalogens can be used in this approach to healthcare and why plasmalogens can help with conditions that degrade the human brain. Dr. Goodenowe explained how plasmalogens are lipids that are found normally within our cell membranes, but they decline with lifestyle choices.
He discussed how low levels of these lipids correlates to dementia. We touched on the build up of inflammation in the body and how mitochondria are impacted.
Dr. Goodenowe also shared on breastmilk having the precursors that make plasmalogens which makes nursing highly desired if it’s possible. He gave recommendations on lifestyle choices to help minimize the decline in plasmalogens in our cells.
Dr. Goodenowe continues to study the benefits of plasmalogens in other conditions including cancer, long COVID, ADHD, autism, and autoimmune disorders. He shared stories of helping a patient see again after being blind for 30 years!
Please join us to learn more about how plasmalogens can benefit your health!
