The CPSC and Bring and Stratton are recalling YTL, Longli and TIYA Log Splitters with Briggs & Stratton® 250cc engines.  The engine ignition coil and flywheels are defective creating difficulty starting the engines with kick back and a possible operator injury.  About 19,630 log splitters were sold in the US and 362 were sold in Canada at retailers and online sites under the Black Diamond, Crimson, Lumberjack, Performance Built, Brute, Country Pr, Boss and Oregon brands.  If you bought one of these log splitters, discontinue its use and contact Briggs and Stratton at 1-800-999-9444 for online at briggsandstratton.com to arrange an inspection and repair.
