Kusshi, Chrome Point, Stellar Bay, and Stellar Bay Gold brand oysters harvested from British Columbia, Canada harvest area BC 17-20, also known as Nanoose Bay, with CLF number 1401656 have norovirus. The affected oysters have original harvest dates of December 30, 2025; January 20, 2026; January 26, 2026; and January 29, 2026.
These oysters were distributed to restaurants and retailers in California, Colorado, Florida, Hawaii, Illinois, Maryland, Nevada, New York, Pennsylvania, and Washington, and may have been distributed to other states as well. The alert applies to restaurants, food retailers, and consumers in these states who may have purchased or been served the affected oysters.
The FDA advises restaurants and retailers not to serve or sell these oysters and to dispose of them by throwing them in the garbage or contacting their distributor to arrange for destruction. Do not to eat these contaminated oysters. If you did and are experiencing symptoms such as diarrhea, vomiting, nausea, stomach pain, fever, headache, or body aches, contact your medical team.
