This cheese contains egg lysozyme, an egg white protein that is not declared on the label. Affected: this type of cheese cut and plastic wrapped by the pound with Whole Foods Market scale labels.

This contaminated cheese was sold at the specialty cheese departments in 18 Whole Foods Market stores in California, Connecticut, Massachusetts, New Jersey, New York, Rhode Island, California and Arizona with best-by dates up to and including 10/7/2026.
