Dr Paolo Macchiarini was considered to be a superstar in the world of thoracic surgery.  He was responsible for the ground breaking invention of a synthetic trachea, which would be bathed in the patients own cells, and had the potential to save so many lives.

Paolo would travel the world performing these surgeries, and while working with a 2 year old child who had been born without a windpipe, he would meet award winning journalist; Benita Alexander.  The two fell madly in love, got engaged, Paolo was even able to secure Pope Francis to marry them, despite Benita not being Catholic, and even though they had both been divorced previously......... but was everything as it was being presented?
