One of our listeners asked the question: "How do I proceed when others are in pain and I'm not?"

This question sparked a conversation that looked at what experts in the field of psychology and the field of spirituality might say, and how we each are in essence required to discover who we are and how we authentically be with others' pain. From there, we can choose to allow an authentic expression of support, or compassion, empathy or whatever, to  come through. Authentic presence has no set expression!

Most of us has been trained to see ourselves in constant need to prove and improve, to impress, to compete, to be what other's expect. But who are we when we aren't trying to be anything or anyone?
