Dr. Wayne Monsky is the director of Interventional Radiology at Harborview and an associate professor of radiology at the University of Washington. He talks with Dave Ross about his new research, which he presented today at the Society of Interventional Radiology's Annual Scientific Meeting, that creates an immersive virtual reality experience of the inside of your blood vessels for your doctor. Eventually, an entire procedure that before would have required major open heart surgery could be done simply by threading a sensor-laden catheter into your arm.
