First off the bat, the crew breaks down the NCAA’s rule on players profiting off of their own personal likeliness- this would allow College football players alternative means to obtaining financial support outside of the actual colleges paying the players. This even opens up an avenue for a return of an NCAA football videogame. Could this curtail the recent string of underclassmen coming out too early? Would it give more of a competitive edge to bigger schools?

In NFL news- Gerald McCoy was cut from buccs which now wiped his 13 million- none guaranteed salary from the books. In a corresponding move- the Tampa Bay Buccs sign Ndamukong Suh for just under $10 million. His fit in Todd Bowels’ scheme and Bruce Arians team? The thought process behind Suh’s decision to pick the Buccs? Makes sense from business perspective: 1) Taxes in fl, 2) Suh has previously stated business minded decisions behind deal and 3) He will play  calais campbell role in defense

Back to Gerald McCoy’s departure from Tampa Bay.  Is this why some why some agents stick in roster bonus? Why wait until may? The team had minimal RISK in keeping the player up to august. Also, what are some teams McCoy is rumored to be meeting with? (Browns, Ravens), Who is interested?  (Panthers, Patriots) As well as some potential fits?

We go through GM Maccagnan’s successes and failures in free agency and previous drafts. His handling of the hiring of a new head coach, the players he got in free agency and the draft in 2019. We walk through the falling out over players that were signed- Leveon Bell & CJ Mosley- the players that were missed out on even though the coaching staff requested them- notably Mitch Morse, Matt Paradise, Darren Fells. 

We address the timing of the departure, the firing being post NFL Draft as opposed to the end of the NFL season on black monday. The first rumblings of the potential rift in the front office as reported by Tony Pauline. Similar front office dismissals at the same time (notably- Dave Gettleman [Panthers], John Dorsey [Chiefs)] & Doug Whaley [Bills]. We review how the Jets handled the firing, the lack of unity in the organization and Adam Gase’s first move (Trading Darron Lee to the chiefs) as interim GM. The group makes note of Manish Mehta’s Daily News article.

The crew then breaks down the potential General Manager search- listing out the lead candidate- being that Eagles VP of player personnel Joe Douglas is the rumoured "No. 1" on the Jets' GM list and note the connection with Gase given their mutual agent. His connection to Daniel jeremiah from their time on ravens/eagles front office. Another front office guy who may be available -Scott pioli- recently resigned from falcons, potentially to draw up interest in the job. A couple of other names potentially available and noMted for upcoming General Manager jobs -Elliot Wolf and Andrew Berry. The potential of Scott ccloughan landing with Jets in some capacity. The crew addresses the report by PFT's Mike Florio that the Jets are targeting Peyton Manning for their GM job. The risks and realities with such a hiring.

Join Walter Deptuch (Brojo Deathpunch- @Brojodeathpunch) and our guest host, local stand up comedian and Titans fan, Shane McMurdo as they review the AFC Norths (Steelers, Browns, Ravens and Bengals) draft haul.

Listen as Shane, and Wojo start off with the Pittsburgh Steelers’ decision to trade up in the first round select Linebacker Devin Bush, Michigan. Then the duo jump onto day 2 and review the third round selections of Wide receiver Diontae Johnson, Toledo and Justin Layne, Michigan State. Then round out with the Steelers day 3 haul of running back Benny Snell, Kentucky, tight end Zach Gentry, Michigan, Edge Sutton Smith, Northern Illinois, Defensive lineman, Isaiah Buggs, Alabama, linebacker Ulysees Gilbert, Akron and OT Derwin Gray, Maryland

Then Shane and Wojo dive into a Baltimore Ravens draft that included a first round pick of wide receiver Marquise “Hollywood” Brown, Oklahoma. Then discuss the Ravens day 2 selections of Round 3 Edge defender Jaylon Ferguson, Louisiana Tech and wide receiver Miles Boykin, Notre Dame. The day 3 picks include three fourth round selections that included running back Justice Hill, Oklahoma State, Guard Ben Powers, Oklahoma & corner Iman Marshall, USC. Then rounded out day 3 with defensive lineman Daylon Mack, Texas A&M and the athletic Quarterback- potentially defensive back Trace McSorley, Penn State.

Next the duo gets into the clear strategy of the Cincinnati Bengals’ decision to address the offensive line early and often with the first round selection of Offensive Tackle Jonah Williams, Alabama and fourth round selection of Ohio State guard Michael Jordan. Day 2 saw the Bengals loading up more on offensive pieces with the round 2 selection of blocking tight end Drew Sample, Washington and then a defensive pick in round 3 with the selection of linebacker Germaine Pratt, NC State, BEngals then traded up in the fourth round to select quarterback Ryan Finley, NC State. They used another fourth round selection to draft Bullish Defensive Tackle Renell Wren, Arizona State- we previously mentioned their third fourth round selection- guard Michael Jordan. They then spent 2 sixth round selections on runngback with the selection of RB Trayvon Williams, Texas A&M and Rodney Anderson, Oklahoma. Bengals also spent a sixth rounder on Linebacker Deshaun Davis, Auburn and corner Jordan Brown, South Dakota State.

Lastly, the crew finishes up with the Walter’s favorite team - the AFC North’s Cleveland Browns. Who didn’t have a selection until the second round, thanks to the Odell Beckham trade. Didn’t matter because they made the most of their selection by trading up and grabbing a falling Greedy Williams.

The Browns then decided to spend the 2 of the next three picks on linebacker with a third round selection of Sione Takitaki, BYU and a fifth round selection of Mack Wilson, Alabama. Sandwiched between those linebacker picks is another player in the middle of the defense with special teams applicability- Sheldrick Redwine, Miami. The Browns rounded out the rest of their draft with a kicker (:-/) Austin Seibert, Oklahoma, the mysterious prospect X- Guard Drew Forbes, Southeast Missouri and Corner Donnie Lewis, Tulane
