Paul writes to Timothy about the many sins and pitfalls the church had fallen into.
He points out to them that the teaching of the Law is for the lawless and that they don't understand what they are teaching.
Paul encourages them to pray, lead a tranquil and quiet life, and to lift up the name of Jesus.
Women were instructed to be modest, discreet, and to receive instructions with entire submissiveness.

Imagine telling people about Christ. They come to the Lord and then later question everything you taught them.
Paul finds himself having to describe himself, defend his apostleship, and then is given a thorn in the flesh to keep him humble. WOW!
We should all examine ourselves to make sure we are truth to the one who called us. Christ. That we honor those who spread the gospel and give their lives for it.

Paul has written a harsh letter to the Corinthians because of their actions and behavior. He lets them know that sorrow is good, when it brings repentance.
He reveals his heart to them. He lets them know that he has confidence in them.
Paul lets them know that God will supply seed to the sower and bread for food. We will be enriched in everything for all liberality for thanksgiving to God.

Paul reminds us that whether present or absent, we should do all things that are acceptable to the Lord.
We are ambassadors for Christ.
We are the righteousness of God in Christ.
We are to give no offense in any thing, that the ministry be blamed.
We aren't to be unequally yoked together with unbelievers.

Paul reminds us that we are walking epistles, to be read of men, so we must always be a light to a dark world.
We have been transformed into the image of God.
We have this treasure in earthen vessels, it is not from ourselves, but from Him.
We are not to lose heart, for this is but a light afflict, these things of the world.
We have an eternal weight of glory far beyond all.
