Dream Gardens: Talking Up the Children's Books We Love

An Interview with Julie Hembree

For my second Dream Gardens podcast I interviewed librarian and educator Julie Hembree about  The Honest Truth by Dan Gemeinhart, a heart-felt middle grade adventure novel about a young boy’s quest for meaning on the frigid slopes of Mount Rainier. Julie’s blog, Bulldog Readers and Bobcats Blog, can be found at bellbulldogreaders.edublogs.org .  To learn more about the Books to Africa Partnership Julie discusses in the interview, go to bookstoafrica.weebly.com.

The next podcast will be published on December 1st, 2016.

An Interview with Jacqueline Lipton

Welcome to my first Dream Gardens podcast!

For this podcast I interviewed author Jacqueline Lipton, aka K.C. Maguire, on her favorite children’s book, William Alexander’s Ambassador, a comic sci-fi novel about a young boy, a purple blob and a race to save his family and the world.  Jaqueline’s own blog, K.C. Maguire: Author and Book Lover, can be found at  http://kcmaguire.com.

The next podcast will be published on November 15th, 2016.
