Yep, three major presentation in the last two months, and this one is all about the new Apple Silicon, and how it’s stream lining the Apple eco-system with high speeds and levels of coss platform compatibility. Apple tracker Taylor Barcroft is in the studio with the latest Apple info. Not as much space news this week, but I found it fascinating that NASA’s latest estimate of inhabitable worlds in our local galaxy is about 300 million planets.  Talk about room for migration! All we need is some decent transportation, perhaps a future version of Virgin Galactic’s Hyperloop.. And lots of virus news this week, with the 90% success rate of Pfizer’s vaccine and promising reseach results from the University of Washington on their ultra-potent nano-particle vaccine. My favorite this week is the MIT research to create an app for your phone that can see if you have Covid simply by analyzing your coughs!  Bobby Wilder is in our virtual studio to help us sift throught the latest research.  Enjoy!

But it does look like we have a new astronaut senator from Arizona, congrats to Mark Kelly! In other space news, we discuss the return mission of OSIRUS-REX, space-based AI for improved weather info by deleting photos with clouds, the upgrade to our global Deep Space Network, how our NASA chief admin, Jim Bridenstine, is performing, and the latest results from Starlink’s beta test. In the Covid world, we report on the breakthrough research in a nano particle spike vaccine from University of Washington, and an AI-based app that can determine with 98% accuracy whether or not you have SARS-Cov2 from your cough, even if you are asymptomatic!  And because there was COVID alert at our KSCO radio station, everyone in today’s broadcast was at home! Listen Now to Future News 10.27.2020 Some great space stories this week, as NASA announces more water found on the moon, and the Bennu probes tries to bring home some asteroid rubble, despite some technical difficulties.  The Hubble space telescope also takes a closer look at Psyche, a large metallic orb in the Asteroid Belt, containing more iron, nickel and other metals than the entire Earth.  What are the implications? We bring on “Anon” to educate us more about Bitcoin and its recent rise from $10-13K in value.  Anon helps us delve a bit into the Bitcoin trading world, a topic of interest to many as the good old US dollar takes some flak from Covid and political turmoil in these tumoltuous times. Also of interest this week is an open letter from World Doctors Alliance to citizens and governments of the world about contentious issues regarding the  Covid-19 pandemic. Most intriguing is his notion of the fundamental algorhythm of life itself, something shared by all living organsims.  And Mrs. Future gives us an update on the laws regarding public health policy. Listen Now to Future News 10.06.2020 It’s looking like we’ll have some options for planets, once we figure out how to get there, as our exo-planet scientists are discovering that of the 4500 exoplanets we know of so far, at least a couple of dozen have conditions as good as if not better than Earth for fostering biological life as we know it. And could graphene have something to do with getting there? Probably not, but it looks like some researchers have discovered how graphene can get work out of Brownian motion, something the famous physicist Richard Feynmann says wasn’t possible..but then he didn’t know about the miracle of graphene.. Firetracker Frank gives us an update on the devasting Glass fire enveloping the wine country, a hazardous smoke report, and a measurement called the ‘vapor pressure deficit,’ the sponginess of the air, and how much water the ‘air sponge’ is holding, and what this is useful to know. Dakin, a personal hero of ours, and benefactor/enabler to thousands, especially in the Bay Area of California. The book is a compilation of stories about Henry by dozens of people who knew him personally, including moi. So much of what we have today, from Citizen Diplomacy to remote viewing and interactive media can be traced to the work and times of Henry S. Dakin. Also this week, we explore the newly found underground slushy lakes of Mars, the latest in NorCal fires, thanks to Frank Schwartz and his amazing firestracking skills, plastic-eating microbes that increase the speed of plastic breakdown from centuries to days, a Pfziser scientist who sees light at the end of the tunnel regarding the pandemic, and a mathematical breakthrough in resolving the paradoxes of time travel.
