Regardless of how good the flesh looks, or how loud the flesh roars, it was never intended to fight a spiritual foe. Without the Spiritual weapons God has so graciously given us, we stand naked and defenseless before the adversary. All we have to offer without God is weak and silly weapons of the flesh.

The word "warfare" is taken from the word stratos, and it is where we get the word "strategy." This tells us that in order for spiritual weapons to work effectively, they must be accompanied with a divine "strategy on how to use them. To have weapons, but no battle plan, will assure you of defeat.

What was the main claim of Jesus? God would bring in his kingdom, or would he bring in the long awaited Messiah? Jesus is referred to as the Messiah or Christ, but Jesus never claims the title for Himself. Jesus said to them, "truly, truly, I say to you, before Abraham was, I am." Jesus claimed not to be the Messiah but God in person.
