In this week's episode of Her Story is Your Story, Jordana sits down with Sarit Shaer, a healer and coach whose intuitive abilities have shaped her life's work. From a young age, Sarit recognized her natural gift for understanding others on a deep level, but it wasn't until a trusted Rav urged her to embrace her talent that she began to use it to help those in need. With the Rav's guidance, Sarit developed her healing practice in a way that aligns with Halacha, and her work has flourished over the years. Among her successes, Sarit has helped a woman with an ovarian cyst, another who once used a wheelchair, and even supported a patient in giving birth to twins. Despite the challenges she has faced, Sarit credits Hashem as her ultimate guide, particularly through the hardships of the past year. Avigayil Gimpel made aliyah two days after getting married, and she hasn’t looked back since. Since then she has become part of the beating heart of Eretz Yisrael where she work with kids who have been diagnosed with ADHD. Her philioshopy is that there is too high of a prevalence of ADHD diagnoses and medication is not always the correct answer. In her line of work, she helps parents seek out the authentic root cause that is causing such distress in their child instead of just letting medicine do all of the work.
When the war broke out last October, Avigayil did not stop working with her clients, but stepped up to do her part for Am Israel! She drove her son and son-in-law out to battle right away while bringing a gun alongside her in case she ran into any danger. Then, in tangent with her work with the cherva kadisha, she helped to properly bury bodies and give those bodies the final respect that they deserved, dying L’Shem Shamayim. Tune in to hear her inspiring journey and how her story could be your story. If you want to learn more about her work, check out her books:

Come meet Rabbi Yakov Horowitz. In this episode you will get a glimpse into who Rabbi Horowitz is and how he got started doing all the amazing work and support for the Jewish Community. He grew up in Crown Heights and his father died when he was only 3 years old. It is so ironic that he went into Jewish education since school was never his thing. “People would have burst out laughing if they heard I was going into education." His first teaching job was in summer camp and it began to grow from there. Today Rabbi Horowitz is a sought after educator wether it be on traditional learning; parenting skills, teens at risk, or sexual abuse. We will definitely have to have him back!
