In 2006, Marianne and Marc contacted paranormal investigators for help with their new unwanted guest, a poltergeist. They were experiencing many spooky things in their home.  The shower turned on by itself, they heard random noises, objects were falling, being thrown, or moving on their own, and their 3-year-old son Robert said he could see a man, a lady and a kid named Sammy.

Wendigo is a mythological creature or evil spirit that is said to invoke feelings of insatiable greed and hunger and they have a strong desire to cannibalize other humans.  Descriptions of the Wendigo will vary, but they are typically associated with winter and famine.  When they eat another person, they grow in proportion to that meal, so they can never be satisfied.

Dalia Dippolito believed she was hiring a hitman to kill her husband, Mike, but it was actually an undercover officer, and the whole plot was captured on camera for an episode of COPS.  The Boynton Beach Police department set up an elaborate crime scene to make Dalia think her husband had truly been murdered. and she was found guilty of solicitation to commit first-degree murder and was sentenced to 16 years in prison.

The Kreischer Mansion is located just off Arthur Kill Road in Staten Island, New York.  The home was built by Balthasar Kreischer for his son, Charles, and there was an identical house built for his son Edward as well.  In 2005, the Bonanno family hired a hitman to murder Robert McKelvey in the mansion and the home is said to be haunted.

Betty Broderick was convicted of murdering her ex-husband, Daniel T. Broderick III, and his second wife, Linda (Kolkena) Broderick, on November 5, 1989. At a second trial that began on December 11, 1991, she was convicted of two counts of second degree murder and later sentenced to 32-years-to-life in prison.

On the afternoon of November 24th, 1971, a man that called himself Dan Cooper approached the counter of Northwest Orient Airlines in Portland, Oregon. He was wearing a business suit and raincoat and was holding a briefcase. He paid $20 for his one-way ticket in cash, and it was flight #305 for Seattle, Washington on a Boeing 727. After boarding the plane, he handed the stewardess a note and told her he had a bomb. He demanded 4 parachutes and $200k and released most of the passengers but kept the pilots and some crew members. He jumped from the plane and the only evidence left behind was 8 cigarette butts, a hair on the headrest and a clip-on necktie. The FBI has closed this case and it's up to the citizen sleuths to solve the mystery of the hijacking.
