We have to set a new low bar for humanity this week, and we still expect people to trip over it. 

This week we take on a cocktail with a contested origin. Though it's name might conjure up images of a barnyard and cows, it's actually quite delicious. Made with four ingredients, this may become your got to summer drink. We certainly wont complain about it. This week Meredith brings us the unofficial official drink of West Texas, Ranch Water with it's required ingredient.

But what story can be told with such a type of drink? In addition to bringing us to the ranch, Meredith is also taking us to the bridge. More specifically, we're going to the Old Alton Bridge in Denton Texas. A haunted location that may or may not be home to satanic rituals, ghosts, and a vengeful goat man. But be warned, if you visit the bridge and knock three times your family lineage may just get you killed. You have been warned.

Is that a Ningen or a whale's penis? The world may never know.

We had a relaxing week off, but we are back and ready for action! We're coming to you with the episode of big things. Emma gets us to our topic through some unusual means, but when we get there we just go strait off the deep end. Literally. 

We venture into the icy cold waters of Japan and the Antarctic to search for the Ningen. Will we find a large humanoid albino mermaid, or will we find a cotton ball on legs? We honestly don't know which one would be better to find. 

But what we do find is a nice sake drink to accompany our cryptid. Called Dragon's Milk, the drink reflects the size and color of the Ningen. But in all honesty, though it tastes good the color is slightly off putting.

It's been a long week, so I don't know what to put for this description. In short, it's a history packed episode as we stay in Colorado and visit one of the most influential horror icons that there is. We're checking into the Stanley Hotel. We know the phrase it keep Portland weird, But we're just going to extend it to the entirety of Oregon. 

Welcome to a doozy of a week. We start off with animal shaped disco balls and move into one of Colorado's more interesting 'traditions'. But that's not the end of the episode!  This week we dawn on the swimsuits and go to Crater Lake. A lake that everyone who say it decided that it was indeed the color blue. Emma becomes our trusty tour guide as she gives a history lesson on how the lake was made then we are treated to all the weird stories that happen around and in the lake. We might even get a cameo from a Lord of the Rings tree! 

Despite being in constant danger, we'll enjoy our cocktail this week, the Bee Knee's Cap. A nice gin based cocktail that any bee mafia boss would love.

This week Meredith brings us another real life curious case, specifically the case of Gloria Ramirez. Who's bizarre and unfortunate death started a media frenzy in Riverside California. Leading to her internet fame as "The Toxic Woman".

The only toxic thing close to us is our drink for this week, the Fiesta Verde! A toxic green colored tequila based drink that uses a melon liquor to give it a vibrant, eerie  color. Don't worry though, it wont poison you, and it wont give you super powers sadly. But you will get the power to tell good tequila from bad with some education into the popular spirit.

We got another episode to share with you this week, it's really sure to wet your whistle! 

This week, we are treated to the first cocktail since dry January, and was refreshing. It's a tricolored beauty that uses the physical property of density to create a layer cocktail consisting of the colors of the Colombian flag. Giving this cocktail its namesake of 'The Columbia'.

While sipping on our drinks, Meredith shares fun facts about Columbia. Then things get spooky when we learn about the legend of El Sabón. He's a murderous spirit that comes from the Los Llanos region. Being 20 feet tall and emaciated, he wonders the llanos looking for victims to add to the sack of bones that he is cursed to carry for all eternity. Just being a decent person won't be enough to save you.

Yes it's February, we know that. But due to traveling and poor planning we bring you the last episode for dry January then it's back to our usual cocktails. But, oh boy did we pick a drink to go out on, it's the first one that made us nervous. 

This week Emma treats us to the story of the Magnolia Mansion located in the historic city of New Orleans. It's a haunted hotel with some ghosts that are just real jerks and ghost kids that behave like cats, and thats not even the crazy part. Get ready to venture into themed rooms like a vampire lover's lair for all your vacation needs.

The drink for this week was  ~interesting~. It's a weird mixture of expresso, orange juice and lime. Imagine drinking orange just from a mug that has a little bit of coffee left at the bottom. It's the five minute crafts of beverages. But we're not sure if it's good or not. So if you try to make it yourself you've been warned.
