Song of the Week

“Dance all Night” - The Dirty Heads

“The Dirty Heads teamed up with fellow reggae artist Matisyahu on this track. In our 2012 interview with Matisyahu, he told us how the collaboration came together: "It was very organic. I know the guys from touring with Sublime and I think with 311, as well, from the whole Southern California camp of true reggae rock music that was started with Sublime.”
Dance all night is from their second album “Cabin by the Sea” that was released on June 19, 2012

Another band that started here in Orange County “The band was founded in 2006 by Jared "Dirty J" Watson and vocalist/guitarist Dustin "Duddy B" Bushnell in Orange County, CA, where there was reggae/ska influence. The two first met at a party during their first year of high school. - The band's name stems from their older brothers and family calling them "dirty heads" when they were younger.”

If you haven’t listened to the dirty heads their west coast reggae influence is rad

Track of the Week
Keep Moving - Jungle
Mercury nominated, British producer duo
“March 23rd. ‘Keep Moving’ is a statement of intent and a rallying call” - what's rad is for the first time used a choir of vocalists to perform the track with them.”

Rad to see a band that's been a round for some time now put out another jivie track after being locked down with the rest of the country.

They're first album which includes a ton of their earlier singles “Jungle” 2014 is one of the faves. Such a solid sound. Which helped build their popularity into why it is today. that's along with their 2018 album “For Ever” which includes some of their most download tracks like Casio, Happy Man, and Heavy, California.

NATIONAL FERRET DAY – April 2
Male ferrets are called Hobs, and female ferrets are called Jills. Their offspring are called Kits. The whole family is called a business. These carnivores join the mustelid family, including the otter, badger, weasel, marten, mink, and wolverine.

Humans domesticated these crafty hunters over 2,000 years ago, specifically for their hunting abilities. Landowners used them to “ferret” out and kill vermin that would otherwise grow out of control.
