Declan Devine is under no illusion that Derry's trip to Cork will be a difficult one this Friday. Previous results have not been good for the Candystripes, but they hope to turn this run of defeats around. Its also a return for Barry McNamee to his former team from last season.

Former Derry City & Dundalk and now Republic of Ireland U21 Manager Stephen Kenny attended tonight's Airtricity League fixture between Derry City & Waterford at the Ryan McBride Brandywell Stadium tonight. At the final whistle we got the views of the FAI U21Manager.

Such is the squad that Declan Devine has built for this season, he would have had enough players to fill any position in the team. As an added bonus Delap and Cole are now in contention for a place tomorrow night after being omitted fro Friday nights squad for personal and injury problems.

The manager also expressed his desire for the Derry City faithful to get behind his young team on Monday night as Waterford come to the Brandywell.

Declan Devine secured the talent of Ciaron Harkin for an extra year today, which will have him at the club for 3 years. A positive step in the right direction for the gaffer as he prepares his charges for a trip to Tallaght to take on Shamrock Rovers
